Once you get past the bizarre location, Canela is a gem. In the early part of the day, the atmosphere here is fairly relaxed, indeed a great place to grab a table, either inside or the seating area at the front.
At lunch time, join the snaking queue for quality, freshly made sandwiches and rolls; daily specials (mainly based around rice/​pasta); or toasted ciabatta. Ingredients are also very fresh as they have such a speedy turnover of customers, but watch out for them running out of popular ingredients as the afternoon wears on!
Staff are really great and fast at putting orders together. All of this comes at a price though, it is an expensive place for an everyday visit.
