Normally I’m a Starbucks girl and that’s not going to change. The coffee here is solid, I’m just habituated. But the thing Nero has that Starbucks doesn’t is the fantastic all day breakfast panini — which sometimes means I must stray from my first coffee love. And this morning is one of those days. Hello breakfast panini. Yum.

Café très sympa! Pour les amateurs de thé je vous conseille le raspberry et ginseng! Une petite tuerie!

Even though the service in this café is very good and friendly, the toilet key policy is ridiculous. To start there’s only 1 toilet for men, women and disabled, so you can imagine the queue. Secondly, in order to use the toilet you need to take the key from the waitress. Imagine getting a wet key from the hands of a previous customer in the queue :(if you’re not planning to use the facilities this caffe’nero is a good pitstop for a coffee :) just don’t take the table next to the toilet!

I figured, I’d give it a try, since I saw almost as many of these coffee joints as I did Starbuck’s. Coffee selection = simple. Food selection = varied. :) Service = friendly. It’s simple: order your drink/food, wait for it, and serve yourself. You’re paying for them to make the drink/food. That’s it. So, please bus after yourself too. I only had a caffe latte, which was delicious. And worth the 2.35 quid.(If you do the currency exchange, it’s about the same as a Starbucks’ coffee in the States. But if you try to go to Starbucks’ in UK, you’ll be sadly disappointed as they cost twice as much there!!!)

There are so many different chains of coffee shops, why should one choose café Neros over Starbucks, Café Uno, Costa Coffee, and all the rest? Well, In my opinion, the coffee in Costa tastes delicious, though unless you like it really strong you might want to ask them, as they usually do two shots as standard. They do the usual selection of Cappuccinos, Lattes, Hot Chocolates, as well as Frappes, and other lovely iced drinks. The thing I love though, is the wheat and dairy free treats! They don’t even trumpet these very much, just leave them with the rest of the goodies, so search out the delicious wheat free brownies, and the scrumptious wheat and dairy free carrot cake! Yum!

I’m a lover of great coffee and i’m always in a search for good ones. Nero is a franchaise but they’ve always served freshly brewed coffee and the service is good here. Its a small coffee place but cosy as well.

I know Neros os a coffee chain, and is everywhere, but compared to the others it is my favourite for a latte because they seem to have stronger coffee, and also I thought it worth mentioning because they do loyalty cards; you get a stamp every time you get a coffee, and then after so many(I forget how many but it is achievable) you get one free. I’m a sucker for owt for nowt so just thought I’d let you know in case you are too.
