The food is absolutely tasteless — not sure how you mess up a salmon Caesar salad, pasta or a burger but Café Med sure does. Even doused in salt didn’t help. The only reasons for the 2 stars is the ambiance as it does have character and the nice service — but they really need to sort their kitchen out!

We tried the steak & chips and chicken & chips here and both were really really good. The steak was one of the best I’ve had in the UK and was aged to perfection! I liked the atmosphere and there was even a magician to entertain the children! Will def return here on our next visit.

A real gem this place!
It’s slightly off the beaten track in that it’s in a somewhat residential part of St John’s Wood.
The staff are very friendly and the food is super. Really great quality meat and fish and freshly baked breads.
Some of the best French fries around and the steaks are highly recommended.
I think my only real gripe is that the wooden chairs could be more comfortable.
An ideal place for a lazy weekend brunch or lunch.
