lovely little café on fulham road… one of my favourite places for breakfast on weekends… good coffee, nice panini and also sweet stuff…

I went from a 4 to a 2 star rating as I really thought about this place. Like most of Chelsea, it’s all style and no substance. You think you’re going into a great neighborhood café and you end up with something wholly unlikeable. Pros: Local spot, filled by local people, independent shop. Prices aren’t ridiculous. Cons: Numerous. There’s no wifi. It’s as cold inside as out. They ruin scrambled eggs. Toast and coffee are average. Cakes taste store bought(and stale). Pastries are awful. Staff is bitchy if you aren’t a local. Honestly, you’d be better off in the Paul’s down the street.

They are clearly trying to make this a nice café. It is a really decent place to read a nice book. I give them credit for their ambition to make a decent café, with home made cakes. However, the coffee is somewhat average and the cakes may be home made, but they don’t taste that great.
