Gourmet hot dogs and champagne, how can you go wrong! I was very excited to try it, tucked away with cute«Hot Dog» art on the walls and to dead for light fixtures when you walked in only to walk in to deal with a staff who all had attitudes about tourist being there, didn’t feel welcomed and was disappointed with the service. The Gourmet Hot dogs were amazing and for that reason I would recommend it.

This is a bit of a head scratcher. Out the back of Bubbledogs is a Michelin starred restaurant(Kitchen Table) serving a handful of people a night very high end polished food. So you’d think that some of that genius would make its way into the hotdogs served out the front, but alas, it’s not to be. We were hoping for a little imagination. However, for the price, not bad, but not worth a trip across town?

weirdest concept but completely works. if you want something different, but also casual, definitely go. it’s a bit pricey for hotdogs, considering what hot dogs actually are, so you’re paying for the experience as well. but it was worth it. staff were friendly, and really knew their drinks, which for some reason surprised me.

Hot dogs and champagne… my days i couldn’t think of a better concept if I sat in a cave with a notebook and pen for two years, i cant tell you how excited I was to try this restaurant! There was always an excuse why i didn’t go but finally managed to russle up the time to visit, and I wasn’t disappointed! The champagne is amazing and a great variety, its nice you don’t have to pay £20 pound a glass like your normal London restaurant, and the choice of toppings for the Hot Dogs made my jaw drop, Mac N Cheese on a hot dog… Yes bloody please! Give me several I wish i could have had more, there is one thing i would have to say i was disappointed about for a restaurant with only 1 item that is customisable, the quality of the buns really got to me, I mean guys please the Bun is like half the meal! get a nice Brioche bun in there and your golden. Shout out for the waiting staff, who seemed to be slated on Unilocal, but i thought were lovely and helpful! Peace and Love

I love champagne but I’m also a down to earth kinda gal so when my boyfriend found this place in London I was very excited to try it. They have a great selection of champagne. Our was very helpful, she knew her bubbles and made delicious cocktails. She was great. The hot dogs were also delicious. I wish I had room to eat a second because I would have. We ordered: Mac Daddy — The mac n’ cheese drew me to this dog of course, who doesn’t love mac n’ cheese. Overall, the taste of the wiener(I got pork) overpowered the mac n’ cheese, which in retrospect, makes sense. I probably wouldn’t order this particular one again because I like bolder flavors. Trishna — SOGOOOOOD! The mango chutney and mint sauce make this dog delightful. It’s definitely their Indian flavored wiener(don’t worry it’s not spicy). If you like Indian food, you’ll love this dog. Tater tots — must get Sweet Potato fries — crispy and delicious

Don’t go here. Management and stuff are terrible. First review I’ve been compelled to write because the service is so unprofessional. 1. Made us wait an hour for bar seats and claimed they don’t seat two people on tables, proceeded to seat two people at a table after we agreed to sit at the bar. 2. Food is beyond average, hot dog Luke-warm. Don’t order the jose 3. Manager was not accommodating, saw him get screamed at by another table for his rudeness. 4. All the bar staff INCLUDING manager are drinking behind the bar, while serving. — maybe an indicator of the sloppy service

Besides the inventive food and lovely cocktails(or bubbles, if that’s your thing), the service was incredible! It was our final evening in London after spending 3 weeks touring around the English countryside and the staff gave us an amazing experience. Thank you, Bubbledogs :)

My friend has wanted to visit Bubbledogs ever since they opened but the last time she was in town they were closed. So when she visited me again this weekend just past to make sure that she didn’t miss out we went along straight from work on Friday evening. The concept behind Bubbledogs is easy to understand if a little odd; glasses of champagne(the bubbles) are paired with hot dogs(the dogs) in a high-end meets low-end mashup. Inside is absolutely tiny with very high stools which weren’t the most comfortable things to sit on. We were perched at the bar which was definitely the best place to be as you could watch the bartenders at work as they whipped up a cocktail or three. As we were there for the Bubbledogs experience we decided to skip the cocktails and try one of the champagnes on offer. The list is full of names that you probably won’t recognise(no Laurent-Perrier or Bollinger here, instead they specialise in growers champagne made by farmers in smaller champagne houses. We both had glasses of the Raventos i Blanc, De Nit, Rosé, 2010 — Sant Sadurni d’Anoia simply because it was the cheaper of the two rosés on offer — sorry I’m not an expert in champagne whatsoever but it was very crisp and delicious! For food I ordered the Mac Daddy — a hot dog smothered in macaroni cheese and topped with fried crispy onions and bacon bits. When it arrived in a little red plastic basket which you would expect in an American diner I was a bit disappointed. It was OK and I absolutely adored the crispy onions but I thought it was relatively small for the £8 price tag and could have been improved by something a bit different, perhaps a crusty baguette, from the standard hotdog buns that were served which struggled to contain the toppings. We also had a side of the sweet potato fries to share which were the absolute best. Crispy on the outside yet still lovely and fluffy on the inside. My main complaint was that the service was slow which we didn’t mind too much as we were too busy getting caught up but it took us quite a while to get someone to take our order despite trying desperately to catch the eye of one of the waiters. It’s definitely a fun concept to indulge in once and the place certainly filled up around us as the night went on with people waiting outside when we left so it’s obviously a popular location but I think you can probably get more bang for your buck elsewhere in London.

So I think that Bubbledogs is a solid 3, here’s why: You will have to wait to sit down, you’ll put your name down and we had around an hours wait. Not a big problem there are lots of great places to grab a drink before eating. What is really nice is that they text you when your table is ready. It’s so much better than the Meat Liquor style of just queuing for ages. So that bit is great… lovely experience. The hot dogs themselves are also really good, I can’t say I’ve ever had a better hot dog. There’s lots of choice, so if you want a spicy dog, chilli dog, mac and cheese dog, asian dog or whatever you will find it. My issue really is with the champagne. I get that champagne is expensive, but I can’t help but feel the idea is to just sucker you into spending a literal fuck tonne of money on booze. I’d rather have something less pretentious with my dog and save a boat load of cash tbh. So, yeah 3*s

Get the mac and cheese dog. It is amazing. Didn’t have the bubbles this time as it was For lunch but will be going back for dinner. The tater tots and truffle Mayo are a needed side. Salivating thinking about it again.

In general it was very nice experience, lovely place and interesting idea. Champagne was great, hotdogs — if I am honest, I don’t really like hotdogs, but they were ok! I was pleased with variety of different choices. Worth to visit once or twice for sure!

Champagne and hot dogs, what could be better! We went at lunch time, no queue! Wasn’t a fan of our seats as we were on the bar by the stairs and didn’t have much room at all, next time would request to sit elsewhere. Atmosphere was nice, décor more upmarket than other burger/hot dog places we’ve tried! Stool and bench seating. Tasty American style food, served in the red plastic baskets! We had the Sloppy Joe dog with tots and sweet fries, all very yummy, not too greasy!

Amazing and definitely one of a kind! Service was great, food was delicious and they have a great selection of champagne. The bill can get pretty high is you get one hotdog with chips + champagne, but I highly recommend giving Bubbledogs a try. The hotdogs were particularly light and tasty, I loved the menu –from the classic New Yorker(just a sausage with caramelised onions) to the naughtiest(I went for the BLT with crispy bacon and caramelised lettuce with truffle mayo, it was to die!!).

Oh Bubbledogs, what a disappointment. This place is the definition of style over substance. The interior is slick and stylish, shiny metallic bar and trendy bar stools with neon signage and the appropriately good looking staff. I have been excited about visiting Bubbledogs ever since it opened, but put off by the tale of long queues we decided to wait a while. What’s not to be excited about? Champagne and hot dogs! CHAMPAGNEANDHOTDOGS! Oh the joy. However, it wasn’t quite the experience I had hoped for. The ‘restaurant’ is super tight. There aren’t many seats, and the ones they have are so close together that whole groups have to get up and move when you want to get in or out of your seat. Also expect to share your extremely tight space with complete strangers. Very close. The range of champagnes and reasonable prices are great, can’t fault that. It’s a fine place to pop in after work for a fancy drink with friends. The hotdogs however are rubbish. I was impressed with the choices and the array of toppings on offer, but the dogs themselves were tiny, much like the smallest canned version you can buy from the supermarket. The buns are beyond standard, and far too big for the tiny dogs. And the toppings are minimally portioned and extremely basic. I was so disappointed. I can honestly say the hotdogs I make at home are better. And not £7 each. Treat the hotdogs like a bar snack, pretend they’re just expensive peanuts, and nibble a bit whilst you drink your nice champagne in a trendy environment. Then actually go out for dinner. Or go home for dinner. Win.

It’s hard to find a sit-down restaurant that will serve tater tots, let alone tots and champagne. This certainly satisfies that craving. As a vegetarian, I certainly appreciate that almost everything on the can be veggie! I got the corndog, aka«horny dog» and although it’s not like the American version I know, it was great. The batter was a cross between pancakes and hush puppies. I really appreciated the wait system, too. We put down our names and went to a wine bar, and when we got a text that our table was ready, we simply texted back and asked if we could push it back an hour. We received a call back and said it wouldn’t be an issue. So easy!

Bubbledogs is the place where chic and street create a beautiful mash up and you get to sip on champagne whilst chomping on hotdogs. What could be better?! Only the fact that they sell sweet potato fries. Ohhhhh hubba, hubba. Two thumbs up, Bubbledogs. Great topping choices on the dogs, great sides and a great champagne list. AND dogs come in either beef, pork or veggie. Hard to get a reservation unless you book a few weeks in advance, and I wouldn’t recommend just showing up. Good, friendly service.

Bubbledogs has been a sort of mythical place in London for the best part of the last year(2013) so it was with quite an amusement that we actually got a chance to dine there. I was looking forward into trying it out almost immediately once it was open, but then I was visiting London just for a few short days and it requires a trip to Fitzrovia and some amount of patience to actually get a table. We were told we would need to wait 2h for a table or we could immediately be sited at the bar. We were quite lucky I guess but they anyway take reservations only for the groups of six or larger(I guess because their sitting options are table with bar stools for six to eight people). So maybe our sitting arrangements were not very comfy but still it wasn’t much different then the other people in the place. After you’ve finished browsing 100-or-so pages of their bubbles selection(it’s not all champagne but it’s all bubbly) you finally arrive at their dog selection. Which are quite nice: naked dog(just bun + sausage), Reubens(with ‘slaw), Sloppy Joe etc. You are always left with a selection of turkey, beef or pork dog. And they are really tasty! Plus the bubbles. It is fancy and it is a nice idea and it is definitely worth exploring if you are tired off all the other options like burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and so on.

A champagne bar that serves hot dogs for food. Cocktails for £9−10 with a glass of champagne going across the full range. A hotdog plus chips will be £12. All up Around £20−25 pp. Atmosphere is nice but tight with everyone on stools. It’s a pretty small place with 8pm Thursday wait times reaching an hour. Service is reasonable. The variety of what they do with a hotdog is pretty good but the actual meat is a little stingy. Definitely recommend getting two dogs«double down». A nice thing to try but probably not worth searching out.

What do you get when you mix delicate French champagne and American hotdogs? Bubbledogs. It’s such a weird and wonderful combination that I’m still unsure of whether I love them together or separately. I enjoyed the Josè hotdog with tomato salsa, avocado, sour cream and picked jalapeños. It was fresh, light and slightly healthy. The sweet potato fries are also a good extra to nibble on. There is also a 14 course degastation which can be booked up to the three months in advance. You won’t find any mass market champers brands. Bubbledogs prides themselves on offering individual small producers who grow and make their own product. There are 4 – 5 types of champers by the glass ranging from £6.50 –16 as well as a range of bottles available. If the bubbles are too much, there are beers, spirits and cocktails. If you want to avoid the wait, head in before 7pm or get a reservation. The space is long and thin with small tables good for 4 or 6 at a squeeze along the side. I’m definitely a fan!

3.5 stars Instead of the traditional pubs nearby we came here. Little did I know people have waited nearly an hour to get into this 30-person capacity bar. The concept wasn’t so clear to me because I couldn’t read the neon sign outside. «Bubbledogs.» It’s not as laid back or roomy as a pub, but we were able to have a drink, a bite(mandatory) and a fairly comfortably chat. Instead of the bubbles(aka Champagne) we had beer from the small 4 choice list. These were mostly local brews, like Pressure Drop. We did get some dogs, but it took a minute to understand the concept. My buffalo(pork) dog came loaded with the classic buffalo sauce: tangy, spicy. Added was blue cheese cubes and onion. Pretty tasty and not too salty. We shared the sweet potato fries. These seem to be a new introduction to London, yet you’ll see see them in every self-respecting burger and gastro pub in Los Angeles. I Washed it down with that Pressure Drop beer. Despite it being cramped, I liked this place for its vibe and for bringing champagne down from its lux podium. Perfect for after work with a couple of people. The selection of dogs is better than some, but there’s still no «healthy» meat, like chicken, although there is a vegetarian dog. I hear in the rear of this place is a fine dining restaurant which requires reservations. In L.A. The hotdog craze was probably kicked off by Wurtkusche in the Arts District. It has very exotic meat dogs, but served in a regular way as the flavour is in dog, not the toppings. It also serves up beers, not bubbles.
