The best risotto ever! Well-​prepared and really tasty. The seafood with it was good as well.
The restaurant may not be the best decorated but for sure you can spent nice time there. I can also recommend their specials or at least the rabbit and the crab meat. Friendly service and reasonable pricing.

This is a great neighbourhood Italian. Over a few visits have tried their pizza, pasta and fish. Deserts are great too. Sadly they may have stopped doing homemade ice cream, but hopefully I’m wrong! Good value for money.

The problem we had with Bocca is not the food, which was actually quite nice, but the fact that our bread smelt like cigarette smoke. At first we couldn’t work out where the smell was coming from but then we realised it was the bread. Sounds bizarre but we honestly couldn’t eat it.
We reasoned that the chef must have just been smoking before cutting the bread, but then we saw the manager (who had brought us the bread) was standing outside his restaurant door smoking. We noticed him go out there at least twice more in the hour and ten minutes that we were there. When he brought us the bill he absolutely stank of smoke, as did the bill.
The manager’s hygiene is just far below par. Smoking outside your establishment is really distasteful. To smoke so much that the food smells of smoke is just unpardonable. I would never go back.

Fab ice cream.

This pizzaria is farrrrr better than the more expensive Pizza Expree up the road. The pizzas are cheaper and better. I recommend the Goats cheese and pesto. The gelato is really really phenomenal and for £1.50 for a biggggg scoop, you cant help but get 2!

Great food with good value prices, what more can you ask? We sampled the spaghetti vongole which was cooked to perfection, super garlicky, yummy and ample portion. The owner also requested a small plate of squid ink pasta with crab flakes and cherry tomatoes, which I can really recommend. Agreed that the atmosphere is slightly lacking, with a 70s feel to it, with un-​matching décor, but its fine for me. Oh, and the home made gelato is fantastico!

Hi went to this restaurant on 23 September 2010, it was my first time and it won’t be my last. Food and drink and the staff and service was good. My aunt had the the Barbecue ribs as a starter and this was quite a large portion. You could have had this has a main meal. Good value for money. Definately worth checking out.

When you say Italian to me I think pizza and pasta. I also think, I can do this at home, why would I pay good money to eat out when I can do this better myself. It’s a negative view but at least I have one.
Last night, after deciding to have a catch up and gossip with a good friend, we heading half way between hour houses to Streatham High Road. On it, my eyes were opened to a whole string of independent restaurants and bars, bustling with locals on a sunny Monday evening. According to my dining partner we just HAD to go to Bocca. I have to admit then when looking through the window I was not convinced. The place was huge and empty. Never a good sign. But the intrepid Unilocal explorer in my me thought, «what they hell!» so we got a table for two.
This is what Americans refer to as a «mom and pop» shop, I actually thing the grandfather served me! The wine was cheap and tasty and the food home cooked and great value for money. Atmosphere was lacking, mainly due to the fact that we were the only ones there but a few glasses of house wine and that soon changed.
I like this place and if I had a large family to take out, I’d eat here. If I wanted to seat 30 guests for a birthday dinner I’m come here, if I wanted a comedy romantic meal, I’d come here. It’s no way 5 star blow you out the water food or dining experience, it’s just great service and great value. I will totally be coming back!
