I had an excellent pizza.
The service is attentive.
The décor is fresh and homely.
Would definitely recommend and come back.

Disappointing.
We came here with my boyfriends parents who were staying in a hotel nearby, from start to finish the experience was disappointing. We had a few queries about the menu and our waiter was unable to answer them — that wasn’t a problem for us, everyone is new at some point — instead of him coming back, a different waitress took over (which seemed unnecessary our questions weren’t complicated) and a little later we saw what we believe was the duty manager publicly reprimanding our original waiter. It was unprofessional, awkward and definitely gave us a bad impression of the staff.
The food portions were a joke, my boyfriends muscle starter was larger than the Gnocchi mains his parents had, admittedly Gnocchi is potato and pasta so no one needs much but the portions were child sized (I regrettably didn’t take a photo) it was in a small starter bowl that was placed on a wooden board — I guess to make it look larger. My main was a good portion I had a mushroom pasta dish and my boyfriends steak was a good sized portion as well. The wine wasn’t the greatest we chose the Valpolicella I Fiori ’13 Lamberti Corvina, Rondinella, perhaps we just chose badly but it was just generally quite poor.
The desserts were NOT good, my boyfriend had the tiramisu which was served in a water glass and was ice cold (indicating it had been sitting in a fridge for ours) after one layer of sponge it was more like ice-​cream. I chose the Crema Mascarpone, it was sickly sweet and after a couple of mouthfuls was more like milkshake, I didn’t finish it (which is very rare for me not to finish dessert). My boyfriends dad asked for the Torta Al Cioccolato to be served with chocolate ice-​cream the waitress said that was fine, when it came out it still had vanilla ice-​cream with it, there was no apology, until we prompted her and only then did she half-​heartedly offer to change it, although we got the feeling this would be a big imposition on her if we did (we didn’t change it).
The service was mediocre, our waitress although nice was clearly rushed (perhaps due to there being new guy on with her) and therefore not very attentive.
Some positives the steak was cooked to liking the mushroom pasta was excellent with the exception the desserts the food was obviously fresh and well prepared.
Overall not a place I’ll visit again, there are far superior Italian restaurants in London.

Top notch! We ordered two margharita pizzas, one with spicy pepperoni and Italian sausage. We picked it up to go for a perfect little date night in. The owner, Massimo, is a sweet heart and you can tell he strives to make authentic Italian food. Will definitely be back!

Visiting London for first time, I have been to Italy and love Italian food. Biancos is authentic and genuine true Italian delicious. A must try! Delivery was a bonus!

I love this place, I eat here at least twice a month. This is one of the better pizzas I’ve had in London, I’d put it on par to Franco Mancas. The prices are a bit steeper for pizza than Francos but they’re almost triple the size. There’s a massive wood fire oven and you can see the chef roll out the dough and put the toppings on it.
Besides a range of pizzas, they also have fantastic pasta dishes, some of which are home made pasta and fish/​meat dishes. The home made gnocci is delicious!
The best part about this place — it accepts Tastecard so eating here is very purse friendly!
I’m going there tonight, can’t wait!

Blistered pizza crust and homemade pasta– what’s not to love?! Unfortunately the service was rather cold and I honestly don’t believe they had bookings for ALL of the tables that we had to sit right in the middle of waiters manouvering around us to get to other tables, even though we did ask whether we could switch tables. Alot of the diners after us were tourists so, i can hardly believe they booked.
Saying that, it’s in the heart of greenwich, so there is touristy hubbub but the food is good. I would personally head to the market to grab something on a sunday, but i had some very fussy guests and it was cold, so I picked a sit down restaurant. We ordered a variety of pastas and one pizza and I was really impressed by how fresh the ingredients were. The pastas, being homemade, are a hit or miss, the noodle type dishes were fine, but the actual pasta shaped ones, the flour was hard– and overworked and it wasn’t pleasant. Italian food is not always consistent for me, and this didn’t change my mind.

Everyone who loves pizza should try this Italian place. Everything is great and the pizzas just fly from the wooden-​fired oven. In addition to the fast service, the menu is rich enough and can satisfy every craving. The prices seemed a little steep for me but it’s worth it.

This is a respectable, if not fantastic, family-​run Italian restaurant. I found the pizzas to be great, but the starters were disappointing.
The pizzas come from a wood-​fired oven at the back of the ground floor kitchen, and the smell is really nice. They come out nicely blistered, and have a great, chewy crust.
As for the starters, the pieces of bruschetta were extremely small and pedestrian-​tasting, and the aubergine involtini were in a rather boring tomato sauce.
Overall, given the size of the pizzas, however, it’s worth going here, skipping the starters, and jumping right into a beautiful pie.

Popped in for an early Sunday night dinner, good value starter, mussels for my wife and aubergine in tomato sauce for me folowed by pizzas all round with a bottle of Primitivo form Puglia, a very good evening.

This is a pretty high three stars but I have only been there once. I had the pappardelle with mushroom and duck, the wife had a spaghetti with seafood and the kids had lasagna, pasta genovese (with pesto) and a pizza with prosciutto crudo and mushrooms. We were all happy with our food choices and the Tuscan house wine (Santa Lucia) was fine.
Afterwards, the espresso (Illy beans) was excellent and the panna cotta was really nice too. They were out of mirto and had no amaro so I had a glass of the grappa, which turned out to be really nice as well. The prices were quite reasonable and the décor and service was nice. I can recommend this place for dinner.

We have no good pizza and Italian restaurants in Greenwich.
And despite what you might think at first glance, given that it’s a town FULL of eateries, we don’t actually have many good restaurants in Greenwich.
Bianco 43 is one of the good ones. I’ll be honest, my five star rating isn’t just based on the food. It’s based on the friendly staff (who are all Italian), the sexy waiter who made me blush, the owner who is SO EXCITED about people in his restaurant enjoying themselves. It’s also largely based on the fact that we don’t have a decent pizza place in Greenwich, and I’m thrilled that this place is here. You’ll think it’s full up when you look through the window, and we nearly didn’t go on, but do! They’ve got an upstairs dining room too.
A main highlight is that they do courgette fries. Byron Hamburgers started me on these, and now they’re a bit like a mild form of crack. You get a craving for something, but you don’t entirely know what. And then you remember and you don’t stop thinking about them all day. That is the power of a deep fried courgette. And you can get them here. Strangely with a calamari starter, but the calamari wasn’t fried for nearly long enough.
Pizzas were awesome, my 4 seasons was a bit hit and miss with the toppings (mushrooms instead of olives, only three bits of artichoke, but then loads of ham) but the base was so damn perfect that I didn’t care. This is really good pizza. Carbs die happy here.
Pizzas peak at around a tenner, and the fries are £3. Wine isn’t cheap — their house is £17 a bottle, and that’s a downside for me. It nudges a good value meal into one that’s a bit of a treat. But then I argued that if you’re splitting the bill, you’re paying a pound or so more than normal. (This is why I never have any money.)
The owner proudly told us that they’re going to start doing opera music soon (I’ll be sure to avoid those nights), and he’s promised they’ll start doing delivery. I can’t wait.
In reality, it’s a four star restaurant. But in an area that was crying out for something awesome, run by friendly people who love working here. And for that it gets full marks.

We stumbled upon Bianco 43 last Sunday while mooching about Greenwich trying to decide where have lunch before taking in a movie at the Picture House. The paint looked fresh, it’s only been open a couple of weeks, they had pizza a plenty on the menu and there was room for two so it was a no brainer really.
The white walls and pictures dotted about make this a nice clean welcoming space, they are making the best out of quite a narrow building, and there is a wood burning pizza oven at the back of the ground floor room which makes for a very attractive centrepiece. There is also another room upstairs which seemed to be pretty full on this busy Sunday lunchtime.
The guys running this place originally hail from Naples and this is reflected in the style of pizza. They come with a nice char on the crust and have a flavoursome but quite doughy base. There is an extensive selection of Pizze Bianche which comes without the tomato sauce but we plumped for the tried and tested on this occasion. B had a lovely looking Bianco 43 with cherry tomato, ricotta and mozzarella while I went for the meaty Capricciosa. Both were very tasty and, when washed down with a glass of the very reasonably priced house white, made for a great pre movie lunch.
We skipped starters but the selection the two young ladies sitting next to us had looked very good and the short dessert menu also looked very appealing.
We both finished off our meal with a decent Illy macchiato which was not on the coffee menu but seemed to be no bother to make.
The staff were very friendly without being overbearing. The other punters were very Greenwich, but in a good way, with a mix of same and mixed sex couples and also a few families with youngish children. Just for the record I would say this is not a place best suited to babies and buggies.
While not setting the world alight, Franco Manca it is not, this is a nice place to eat although it’s not somewhere I would want to spend a whole evening in (we were in no way rushed through our meal I did notice that people did seem to come and go around us pretty quickly — I guess it’s just that kind of place). However, I have no doubt we will be back again in the not too distant future.
