I still maintain that Gregg’s makes the best cookies in London. However, Ben’s comes in at a close second. I dare you to go into a Ben’s and walk out with a single cookie. They bake the cookies on location making out all the more irresistible. And they always have offers like buy one more and we’ll give you two. Sigh. There goes London’s waistline. My favourite so far is the milk chocolate and candied orange cookie.

I don’t get these raving reviews saying they’re amazing when fact is, they aren’t all that great. The cookies are flimsy, the outer shell isn’t crispy enough and the inside is like an attempted gooey cookie dough that went wrong so merge a cupcake a cake and a cookie and you get bens. Think I’m mistaken? I bought a box of 15 thinking they would be amazing, worst waste of money ever. Over priced untasty stuff. Even dominos cookies wins these hands down. So if you’re craving cookies buy dominos instead.

So, Ben’s Cookies, gotta be the first place I’ll review here on Qype. Why? Cause I’m simply loving all cookies and pastries they offer. My all-time-favourite specialty is the triple chocolate chunk and the 2nd place goes to the ginger dark chocolate chunk. Oh, well, let me grab my coat, car keys and scoot to Ben’s for my Friday dose of sweetness.

Of course, I had to hit up Bens Cookies! I love that it’s a tiny little shop that sells one specialty item and they sell it WELL! Not the cheapest cookies on the market, but I feel like they’re pretty worth it. I got the Double Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate and Cranberry, Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter. My FAVORITE by far is the White Chocolate with Cranberry– sweeter than the others, just how I like it! But all of them were soft and chewy on the inside; crispy on the edges! Oh and it doesn’t hurt that you can carry that beautiful little red box down the street loud and proud :)

Bens Cookies are pretty freakin’ awesome. I’m not a cookie enthusiast. my life can go on, happily, without stuffing my face with cooked sugarflour, but this place is pretty freakin’ awesome. They must be exceedingly well known because they do a business in souvenirs! We’re talking T-Shirts, Hoodies, Bags… all kinds of crap you’d associate with somewhere really well known. The cookies themselves are very different from any of the others I’ve tried, with a UFO like shape owing to having the middle crammed full of the goodies you all like to see — Chocolate, Nuts, but even some upmarket additions like Ginger and Coconut(to cookies these are pretty outlandish!) make things all the sweeter. My favourite by far is the White Chocolate and Macademia Nut. Get that or you’re stupid.

MMMMMMMMMM squidgy and amazing. SO so good these cookies are. When I walk past a Bens that is that, I will eat one. They are the perfect cookie, so if you ever spot a little red shop with a Quinten Blake illustration, stop and smell and pick and buy and eat. The cookie flavours include all the norms, and then stuff like peanut butter(my favourite) and praline(yummy). The cookies are like fat, part baked blobs and are so amazingly bad for you. I cannot emphasise enough how good they are, especially if you get a fresh warm one. They weigh the cookies for pricing, but the are normally about £1.50. They also do deals on boxes.
