Good Beer selection on draught, with a changing line-​up of craft bottles as well as real cider. Food is good but simple and basic, which fits in with the atmosphere of the place. A large micro-​pub in style, definitely worth a visit if you are into craft/​micro beers. Staff seem fairly knowledgeable but not all are experts, but very friendly and chatty.

When I first moved to Crystal Palace, I was recommended Beer Rebellion by a total stranger; the experience was a bit like Unilocal,but without the typing.
It’s taken 18 months to find a reason to visit, but I definitely won’t wait that long to return!
Firstly, there are some seriously niche local beers. The barmaid was very good at guiding my choice because my beer knowledge isn’t what you might call comprehensive.
Then there’s the food. Beer-​battered gherkins called Beerkins served in a pint glass, a selection of amazing burgers including the mega-​tasty Trophy Burger and a minted lamb burger with grilled haloumi. They also sell some rather flavoursome fries, albeit a little salty for my taste.
A really cool restaurant if you can find a seat, as it gets pretty busy!
