Wandered in for our first real meal since landing and it hit the spot. The two eggs over easy were served up on a and lightly toasted slice of bread and came with vegetarian sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, and cuppa Earl Grey. With Smarties. I was just so glad to find somewhere that doesn’t have meat in all its dishes!

Came across here looking for a café that we later found had closed down. At first, we walked straight past as it looked like it would be quite expensive but when we looked at the menu it was very reasonably priced. The café itself is beautifully decorated and the coffee and food was delicious. The staff I found to be quite cold however which wasn’t so great.

We just stumbled upon this place and what a find! Their breakfast until 4pm menu is great and offers a killer deal with choose a breakfast and any cocktail for 10 pounds! Very nice atmosphere, modern look and great bar! Nice place but the service is so slow and makes it more annoying then enjoyable.

We came here for lunch when one of our favorites around the corner was closed for the holidays. We should have continued farther down the street for something else. Service here is strange and horribly inconsistent. It is unclear whether servers are assigned to a table or if they simply cover all tables. The person who seated us and took our order mysteriously kept hiding behind a post, and he had to reconfirm the order three times. Considering there were two of us and we only ordered entrees, it should not have been hard. [I suggest he start writing them down] Thereafter, I did not receive my drink and had to ask the bar directly. My boyfriend ordered the Eggs Benedict which was OK. I got the roasted chicken. Huge mistake. It was the driest piece of chicken I had ever tasted in my life. The insides had deflated and was only skin… sort of like Peking Duck but without the flavor. It also seemed as though it had been reheated more than once. Oy. We then had to go back to the bartender for our check. She even asked who our server was and seemed(rightfully so) frustrated. On the plus side, they have a very good cocktails and wine list. There are several moderately priced wines that I would have tried if I ever returned, which I won’t. Overall, this place needs a new chef and manager who can train the waitstaff. DON’T GOHERE.

Visited for a few drinks after work. Can’t comment on the food but the drinks were correct and orders were quickly fulfilled, even during the busy after work rush. One of the waitresses could tell from my «accent“that I wasn’t from London. She poured me some mulled wine to sample because I’d never seen it. Very nice to oblige, even with a smile, especially since she was busy.

From what I could tell, this seemed like a pretty standard All Bar One. Situated within a stone’s throw to Tower Hill and the recent poppy display, it was(as expected) a busy London day, so we headed here for a drink while waiting for our table at Bodean’s next door rather than getting sucked in to the crowd. It only took a few minutes before a table became available, and we even managed to get one with almost enough seats for our party of seven, which is rare! A bottle of white wine between four and beer for the others, we were happy to spend some time chatting; the atmosphere felt relaxed, though I wouldn’t see it as somewhere to get a good meal. Stop for a drink but then go exploring — with Tower Hill station moments away, you could get anywhere!

Terribly understaffed and overpriced! The view is nice but pret a manger across the street has the same view. Ordered a toast with salmon and avocado, and waited for it for 45+ minutes… Ridiculous. Subjectively speaking, the food was terrible. Staff seemed to be too busy to be bothered. Terrible! Never coming back again.

We popped in for lunch. It wasn’t busy at all and the service was alright, but lacked personality(it doesn’t hurt to smile). I had to ask twice for the wi-fi code before walking to the bar myself to get it. The food was fine — good but not great. We went with 5 tapas dishes. Calamari was solid(not overlooked). Crispy chicken was good. Arancini was good enough(maybe a little mushy) but I didn’t care for the plum sauce that went with it. Gnocchi seemed deep fried, which was strange. Chorizo was good. The questionable dish was the fish & chips. It’s possible the fish was caught from the Thames sometime last week. The biggest knock is probably the location. Financial Districts wig me out a little, and this was no exception.

I went here about a year ago while visiting London. It was pretty slow, but the waitress was really friendly and the food was satisfactory, nothing too special and probably a bit overpriced. The selection of beer isn’t too bad either, and there were several that I’d never had before so all in all, I was pretty happy with my experience. Probably more of a wine bar than for beer, and definitely not a «British» pub atmosphere.

There’s plenty of these around and this one is as good as any really. There’s cheap cocktails hours, a half decent menu, and a raucous crowd at times.
