My first time at an Itsu and I’ll definitely be back! The chicken teriyaki potsu(rice, veg and chicken) is delicious. I’ve eaten a lot of teriyaki chicken, as it’s a favourite of mine, and was surprised to find one as good as this in a casual chain eatery. Would recommend.

I would not say that Itsu were the best for Sushi however their vegetable dumpling noodle soup and their range of popcorn products get 4 stars from me!

The food at this Itsu, like at every branch of it I’ve tried, is very nice. The sushi, noodles, soup and everything else are good. The only problem is that no matter what I buy, unless I spend over a tenner, I’m hungry 2 hours later and end up raiding the vending machine at work. Which isn’t really the point of lunch, is it?

Awful. That pretty much sums it up. i’ve been in London for 6 months now but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to eat here. My gut just kept saying ‘nope. move it along. you don’t want food from here.’ I should have continutied to listen to my gut. Unfortunately, in stead of listening my gut, I had the cali roll and the Detox 7 veg. They were both bland. I understand California Rolls are not real sushi. I also understand I am not curently located in California, or any part of the US for that matter. But this maki was just wierd. As for the Detox 7 Veg. There is probably nothing to write home about, unless it is to say ‘Don’t eat it.’ Yes, I have now probably eaten half of my 5 a day. But honestly, veggies should be tasty. These were not. I’d say for the £6.50 I spent here, I could have ate yummier cheaper food elsewhere.

I’m on something of a sushi kick at the moment, and this branch of Itsu is conveniently only a short amble from my desk. Located by the picturesque St. Paul’s, this is great for a grab & go lunch. You can sit in(the seats looked comforable and plenty-ful), but why when there is an amazing churchyard you can sit in instead? Takeaway sushi is top notch(maybe slightly heavy on the wasabi for some), and the staff are friendly and helpful — always happy to give you an extra bottle of soy sauce. I had the Itsushi(see what they did there!). A nice mid-range sushi with a nice selection of good quality fish and a scrummy tsu noddle salad. This came in just shy of £6, which given the quality, location and typical price of sushi, seemed quite fair to me.

When I need a quick sashimi fix, this place really hits the spot. I’ve been twice this week. And yes, it is only Tuesday! The prices are quite reasonable. I got one of their larger to go sushi boxes that included five pieces of nigiri, five sushi rolls, plus a salad for £8. The only thing that really annoys me is the way the tills are set up. Five are right in front of the place where you order hot food. If you stand in the queue, you end up between the fridges with all of the sushi boxes and — wait for it — perpendicular to another set of tills.(Wow, when’s the last time anyone’s used the word, ‘perpendicular’?) Its the most confusing check out area, I’ve ever seen. Which queue do you stand in? Do you want for the hot food tills to become available or do you jump to the other tills which are next to the queue? Should there in fact be two queues? But then again, there really isn’t any room. Oh well.

Get sushi from here for lunch from time to time… The best take-away sushi I have had but a little on the pricey side. Their noodle soups are also very good but again slightly overpriced…

This is a stylish place with plenty of seating areas and good food. While some Ex-KGB spies prefer the Piccadilly branch, I think this one is nice, too.

Apart from the odd bout of pollonium poisoning excellent food especially veggie dumpling soup.

I find it ironic that the types of chains found most in London are all the food genres that London manages to crap up the most. It’s like they’ve bastardized us with their contagious nastiness. Sushi is the most dangerous of the bunch, and the kamikaze of abundant sushi chains hurts my heart, and causes me to say things like«this is NOT sushi! This is just flabby old raw fish. Who wants to eat raw fish?» To be clear, good sashimi is the nectar of the Gods. Bad sashimi is like licking a sweaty old man. Or worse… Itsu was … um… ok. Nothing that I’ll be running back for, but I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of fresh fish, organic juices, healthy side orders, and yes… FroYo.(Not so much by the abundance of prices.) But I the fact that I had to eat my sushi from a box? That it was pre-prepared, meaning sliced hours ago? I certainly had that not-so-fresh feeling… and so did my seaweed salad. I just don’t think I could eat box sushi on a regular basis. It hits too close to home.

Duck Sushi Roll: less than £4 … need I say more? Delicious food for a cheap price — plus, if you’re counting calories, most info is written on the dishes themselves. Great soups, sushi and froyo! yay! Super close to the tube, great on-the-go

My go-to for lunch every day. Very good for fast food, I think. Better than fatty sandwiches with mayonnaise from EAT.
