What a night! Went there on a Monday which is karaōke night so the music wasn’t great, but I loved how the staff and doormen treated us. While the bar was busy, the bartenders served people quickly and in turn. I got up and sang too, I know I was terrible, but everyone clapped, including the staff.

The Lime Kiln, which is located in one of the main clubbing areas of Liverpool(Concert Square), is another of many Wetherspoon branches to be found in the city centre. This gastropub is different from the other branches because it is combined with a clubbing section, which really comes alive at night. The last time I went was on Halloween night and I could remember the atmosphere which was electric. There were a few jolly drunken folks around, no harm done but all a bit of fun! It was really jam packed and I found it hard to manouvre. Upstairs is probably your best bet if you want a nice sit down on a comfy sofa, away from the rowdier clubbers! Other than that, the Lime kiln operates as normal during the day time as a gastropub, where of course you can tuck into some good breakfast and brunch with a bit of booze(why not?!) — all at reasonable prices.
