This Tesco is massive. It is one of the biggest stores I have seen, definitley up there with the one on Huddersfield Road in Oldham, which spanned across 3 floors(one floor only partly) and is probably even bigger, I want to start with the location: it is a great location in the heart of Liverpool city centre, in the one city centre however the location I feel isn’t as good because when you go to a shopping centre, the last of your worries is grocery shopping, I feel the Manchester approach with a large metro store and then maybe this giant store outside the city centre would be much better for Tesco. The staff here were quite nice and they is a great range of everything, even free from, they seemed to have the majority of all frozen and non frozen free from foods here. One annoying thing, as with all Tesco stores, Tesco sim cards do not scan at scan it yourself tills. The opening hours, for a massive superstore like this are quite shocking to me really, from 6am to midnight on all weekdays, I have seen much smaller stores be open longer and I would really think a big store like this should have longer opening hours, but due to its location right in the Liverpool One, it may not do so well so it is understandable but we wouldn’t have this problem if they had the Manchester approach. This Tesco store has free wifi and of course click and collect etc. I was surprised not to see scan as you shop facilities or a café, which even much smaller stores have and reasons like this are letting the store down, all for being in a city centre, I would of loved to give 4 maybe 5 stars but with everything it doesn’t have, which I think is due to it being in a city centre, it only deserves 3. The Manchester approach and moving this store to away from the city centre, with scan as you shop, 24 hours and a café could make it to a higher 4 star rating but for now they are stuck on 3

This is my go to Tesco in Liverpool. They have two floors and everything one should need! I go here to find discounted products. They also have a great selection on crisps, so you don’t need to convince to go there. What I do love about Tesco is their discounted products, so if you go later on the day you will definitely find something that suits your needs. I also think it is great that is so central!

This branch of Tesco is an excellent one. It is in a prime location in the middle of the city centre, close to the Liverpool ONE development. It is quite large and is still bright, shiny and modern looking. The store is spread across 2 floors, linked by a moving walk way which I refer to as the travelator. This is excellent if you need to walk up there quickly or lug your trolley around. The store is always well stocked and the staff obviously work hard to ensure the shelves are full and the store is clean. They have everything you would expect from a large supermarket. They sell fresh bread, which is delicious, and also have a cheese counter. They have an excellent range of items available. There is a good number of tills available but I prefer to use the self service tills, which there are about 20 of. There is sometimes a little queue for the tills, but you don’t have to wait too long. This is a great place and it is pleasant to get your weekly shopping here. It is located near Paradise Street Bus Station so you don’t have to lug your shopping too far.

There are Tesco’s literally everywhere these days, none more so than probably in Liverpool city centre. If you’re around Liverpool, Tesco’s of all versions are dotted around places: metro, local, express, superstore. If there are any more, you’ll have to let me know! The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn’t great if you’re driving there as it’ll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

My hometown is Manchester, technically. Now I love Manchester. I love it a lot. But why do I come to Liverpool so regularly? Well, for one, it’s ace. You know that, or you wouldn’t be on this page. But another superb thing about Liverpool that is missing in Manchester is not only a giant Tesco… a giant WALKABLE Tesco. This gargantuan behemoth of a supermarket is actually located in Liverpool One. Location Location Location. Would I be giving this Tesco such a glowing review if it weren’t so easily accessible? Probably, yes. I know, Tescos are evil and taking over the world and what-not, but you can’t help but want to shop at this one. It has an absolutely giant international aisle, full of delicious snacks I didn’t even know existed, like sesame-coated caramelised peanuts, and a wholefoods section to rival Holland and Barratt. I bought the most incredible yoghurt coated coconut clusters and I haven’t been able to find them since. This really is a Tesco that bears repeating.
