Oh TJ! You never fail me for Stila make-​up bargains and Rimmel nail varnish. This store can be quite ramshackle but if you fancy a hunt around then it’s always worth it.
When I entered I walked into the luggage section. They had some amazingly cheap suitcases, and a vast amount of handbags! Nothing appealed to me too much though, I think due to my age. I found a lot of stock seemed more marketed at an older crowd.
The bedding in here is always an absolute bargain though, and is much cheaper than in other stores.
The staff are friendly and amicable.
Like many stores in this shopping centre, its asethetics are not too quaint, but I don’t think this matters in light of the inexpensive goodies on offer!

Strand TJ’s has such a great kitchen section, it’s downstairs on the lower mall and has a fantastic range: utensils, storage, dishes, cake tins, aprons– everything you need! Upstairs, there’s quite a mix of things: electricals, clothing, make up, all sorts really, it’s a bit of a jumble. I always go to this TJ’s for my suitcases; there’s a really good choice of sizes, weights, styles and prices. I’ve also bought towels and bedding from the top floor, again there’s a pretty limitless range of styles to suit your need, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find what you need. The staff are a little variable, some are approachable, knowledgeable and willing to help you, while others, usually the younger staff members are decidedly indifferent and unconcerned.
Aesthetically, the store is not very attractive: it’s dull with little natural light and always quite chaotic but if you’re determined to get a bargain it won’t matter!
