No, it really is just a newsagents! Richmond’s opened quite recently and it’s doing very well. Here, the usual newsagenty stuff is sold in distinctly newsagenty surroundings. It’s a nice shop though, clean and bright if a little cramped, and the staff are lovely.
I think Richmond’s is a litlte pricey in comparison to others in the area that have offers on their sweets and drinks, but it’s often quieter than these alternative stores so pop in if you’re in a hurry.

«More than just a newsagent» reads the tagline of Richmond News. I hope more small shops start using taglines. Bakers could start having «a matter of loaf and death» and locksmiths could go with «the only place to key.» But I digress.
Located within striking distance of Williamson Square and the Royal Court Theatre Richmond sells all the usual selection of newsagent related stuff; magazines — from More to Air Gunner Monthly — crisps — from Wheat Crunchies to Quavers — and soft drinks — from Red Bull to Frijj. Maybe the tagline should be «exactly just a newsagent. But actually pretty good one.» I suppose that wouldn’t be very snappy though.

Richmond News boasts itself as ‘not just another newsagent.
Drinks, newspapers, magazines, biscuits, chocolate, postcards all things that you would expect from a local newsagents.
Nicely positioned and friendly staff.
