This is a great local business that do things the right way. Fresh pizza and a beer while you wait in friendly laid back surroundings, Pizza is far superior to anywhere else imo.

Fantastic pizza. Truly gorgeous and I’m surprised it’s not more popular!

I’m surprised more Unilocalers haven’t been lining up to give some love to Pizza Parlour. A charming independent pizzeria on Smithdown Road, they serve wonderfully crisp pizzas made from fresh dough and topped with good quality mozzarella, veggies, meat and herbs. The menu includes around 15 – 20 different variations with regular pizzas costing around £6, Large £7-£8 and Super £11-£12. They also sell dough balls, garlic bread, salads, spaghetti bolognese, lasagne, salads, beer and bottles of wine to eat in or take away. I’ve only tried the Margherita and the Four Seasons but I’d love to go in one day with a water pistol and demand an Al Capone. A dangerous affair, it include pepperoni, peppers, onions and chilli sprinkled over their trademark tomato and cheese base.

One of the best pizza places in the city and probably not even that well known by those living in the same area, the Pizza Parlour generally loses out to the Domino’s, Papa John’s et al situated nearby getting all the attention but if anyone in the south side of the city feels the need for the taste of a real pizza then head here or get it delivered. The Pizza Parlour is really a small restaurant that offers pizza and pasta in a more refined, but still casual, environment than many of us are used to unless going to Pizza Express. The Pizza Parlour is just as tasty as Pizza Express but not nearly as dear with it super size pizza — enough for three — only setting you back £11 for most toppings. There is also beer and wine which makes it some like more grown up experience but all of this can delivered if you still want to slob about in your pyjamas. Even though I do like a Domino’s, you can still taste the difference here as the pizzas taste fresher and have a real home-made quality to them.
