I am something of a Tattoo Connoisseur so I have to give my opinion on this shop. Firstly, the shop is run by teenagers. Tattooing is an art form which you enter into as an apprentice, learn your trade over time, and then eventually become a professional tattoo artist. This has clearly not been the case here as the«artists» are still children themselves. They are the sort of people who buy a tattoo kit from the Internet and then practise on their friends. The«artwork» I have seen produced by this studio is disgracefully bad. Lines which are meant to be straight are wobbly and portraits look nothing like the realism photo effect they are supposed to have. The piercer here is of the same quality. She has completed a course which took a few days and considers herself to be a professional body piercer, which is an insult to artists who have learnt their trade and respect their art. She pierces using the blade method which has been found to be the most traumatic to the skin. The instruments are reused and therefore become more blunt with each use, again creating more trauma to the body. Please do not go here, trust me.

As a tattoo enthusiast one of the first things I did upon my arrival in Liverpool was to search for a good tattoo studio which was reliable, reasonably priced, friendly and most importantly of all good quality. I searched Liverpool and finally settled on Liverpool Ink, as it seemed to tick all of the boxes for me personally. When you enter you must first make your way up three flights of stairs and through a beauty salon(if you can safely negotiate the people being waxed you’ve made it), once you’ve made it to the studio you will not be dissapointed it is beautifully decorated with plenty of tattoo related works of art mounted on the wall and a warm and friendly atmospher helped by the red décor. The studio is clean and light something very important in order for you to feel comfortable about a place in which you will recieve a permanent piece of art on your body. The first time I entered the studio I had various questions regarding the tattoo I wanted to recieve and I was pleasantly surprised by the attenttion the staff payed to me, they directed me to the mountain of designs in various books they possessed as well as giving me their own ideas and advising me on the price and location of the tattoo. This made a nice change to other studio’s I had visited who had been at times abrupt and even rude something which seems to occurr in various tattoo establishments accross the country. After my consultation I booked an appointment and returned a week later to recieve my tattoo which was two pieces of script accross both wrists, the staff were as friendly as they had been previously and the tattoo turned out in excellent fashion at a price of only fifty pounds which having shopped around I found to be extremely reasonable. I was then given step by step instructions on how to care for my tattoo and encouraged to return if I had any queried or problems. The care and attention I recieved at Liverpool ink prompted me to return for another larger tattoo on my forearm with the same excellent results. I would reccommend Liverpool Ink to any prospective tattoo client especially as you are made to feel so welcome and comfortable not to mention the large screen t. v on which you can watch Miami Ink whilst being tattooed. I havent been pierced at Liverpool Ink but I have met the lady in charge of doing so and she too is a wonderfully friendly and comitted member of staff. The studio recently added a new female artist whom I am very excited to go back and meet to experience even more great body art. If you love tattoos you will LOVE Liverpool Ink
