I edited my review because it was too long and I don’t want to put anyone through that. My previous review accounted a very interesting visit I had at this hostel, but to spare everyone from that, I’ll give you the summation of my experience: The hostel staff moved our bags out of our room into another while we were away because they needed to put another group of people in there. Which was fine – I understand these things happen in hostels. Except no one in my party was notified. So when we got back to the hostel after a long day of sight-seeing(getting drunk), I opened the door and saw all this random stuff in there that did not belong to any of us. We could not contact any hostel staff for a good while so yea, that was interesting. Also, a group of teenagers held a loud party in the hostel the night I stayed there. The door to my room was so old that the lock stuck and I couldn’t open it to ask them to keep it down, so I was forced to listen to their antics for hours(which included them breaking a door off its hinges). Not that their behavior is the hostel’s fault, but it made for an eventful night in Liverpool.

This guest house was so convenient for us as we were staying in Liverpool to visit Anfield Football Ground, and it was 300 yards along the road. Looked good from the outside, ample parking, and was the house that Brian Epstein spent a lot of time in as he grew up, as it was owned by his grandparents. Loads of memorabilia and interesting bits to read inside. The organisation seemed a little haphazard so I am guessing it is a new venture. The bedroom and en-suite were tired and needed attention to bring them up to scratch. Breakfast was good and plentiful. As a bed for the night it was fine, not sure we would stay again.
