Lovely place, good french food, nice swing music, fast and friendly service. — Very cool french interior.

This is a nice enough place with friendly service and some good deals. If you’ve been to Paris then the feel of this place will be very familiar. It’s almost a perfect transplant out of that city and right into the centre of Liverpool. Now the thing with a typical Paris bistro is the romance of the idea is often somewhat more than the reality of the food. And so it is at Bistro Pierre. I chose from the set menu and while enjoyable enough there was nothing about either the starter or main that was memorable; tho the main did have a large line of some kind of lemon foam that seemed just so out of place, and tasted so yuk, I ended up leaving much of it. The wine was OK, as was the desert. The general vibe was fine. I wouldn’t come again myself, but I understand why it’s so popular. Prices are favourable and it provides a glimmer of Paris.

Our first dinner with my Contiki group was in Liverpool at Bistro Pierre, a French bistro. We were on our own for drinks but had a 3-course dinner planned for our group of 53 people. A few of us split some bottles of wine and we were given options as to our 3-courses. For wine, we went with a Australian chardonnay and a Spanish tempranillo. The wines were ok and I liked the red Spanish wine more than the white. I went with the butternut squash risotto, roasted chicken breast over leeks with a white wine & tarragon sauce. They also brought us a variety of vegetables served family style: fried potatoes, pickled cabbage, steamed carrots, broccoli and potato au gratin. For dessert, I opted for the chocolate-orange cinnamon mousse. The servers were great bringing out the orders per table. We chatted while the food came out. The risotto was creamy and the rice was al dente. The chicken was nicely plated and I really enjoyed the white wine tarragon sauce. I was a little disappointed with the mousse. I misread the blackboard thinking that they had three flavors of mousse but in fact, it was three flavors in one dessert. No matter, I was mostly full by that point so I just picked at it while others were finishing up their meals. We were headed to a pub across the way for drinks and on to the Cavern Club for live music.

This is a cute, charming French bistro in the heart of Liverpool’s cavern district. It’s extremely lively outside, but cute and cozy inside! We came here for my boyfriend’s sister’s birthday with the whole family. There are a lot of good specials here. I think almost all of our party got the set meal which you got to pick out an appetizer, a main and a dessert for a low price(I can’t recall how much, but it was a good deal). I think for a bit more you could upgrade your meal to include steak for your main, and I’m pretty sure that’s what my boyfriend and his mom ordered. The birthday girl also had a coupon for a free bottle of wine for her birthday. How nice. The food was nice and the ambiance was really lovely. The bathrooms were a bit strange. There’s a french recording of someone chatting, not music, just french chatter. Very different. This definitely made for a lovely place for a birthday celebration with family. And the special promotional prices were great too.

Amazing value for money, 3 courses for 10.59 :) however only from 4.30 till 6.30, even after that, food isn’t too expensive around 11 quid for a main course and as little as 59p for a starter, The atmosphere is really nice all waiters are friendly and helpfull, however, very popular, booking recomended!!!

Bistro Pierre is like an independent café rouge. In trying to be authentic, the old posters and wax covered wine bottles, newspaper on walls and chequered table cloth come across as a bit cheesy and French cheesy at that. I’ve not seen a restaurant like this in France since the early 80’s. I do like the French expressions on the wall like«A table!» which remind me of my time as an exchange student. I’m going to let the décor slide as the prices just about compensate. Its all fairly reasonable with a three course quick lunch being just £8 to £11 with a roast on Sunday(sounds a bit English?) How about this to make your mouth water: Garlic Crust Rack of Lamb served on a bed of wilted savoy cabbage & bacon, finished with a wild berry & rosemary jus.

This French style restaurant is quite charming. My husband and I ate out here after someone gave us some money and told us to use it for a nice date. While not all the food is strictly authentic French cuisine, everything has a French flair or a French flavour. The white walls are scrawled with quotations in French, most of which I made out had to do with dining and food in general, though my French is a little rusty. The style of the dining area was like a French café/shabby chic classy restaurant. The food was delicious. Honestly, I don’t even really remember what I had for a main, but I remember it being super tasty, and I don’t often rate restaurants that high on the tasty factor since I’m such a huge fan of home cooked food. I do remember what I had for desert: chocolate orange cheesecake. It was marvellous. Your portions will be smaller than the average European restaurant, and the prices a little bit higher, but it’s still fairly reasonable for a fun night out that won’t break the bank, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Ah, oui-oui, le Restaurante Francais dans le metropolis du Liverpool. My dreadful French aside, it really is nice to find a continental bistro in the city, but is Bistro Pierre, the European equivalent of us calling a British eatery Café Dave, any good? You can’t argue with the value of this place. Their special offers are pretty incredible; the Wine and Dine one being a particular treat, with two courses from the a la carte and a bottle of house wine. Each. Yep, you read right, EACH. What on earth?!? And you’re not even allowed to be worried about the standard of the wine being low, as a matter of fact it’s on their menu and costs about £12.50. Exceptionally good bargain you have to admit. Even when you don’t go for offers like this it’s always a bargain. The restaurant has great ambience and the service is great even when busy — it can get a little slow at times but it’s always friendly, supportive and inviting. I’ve heard that the standards can slip a little at seasonally busy times like Christmas but this is rather a universal thing, so it shouldn’t colour your view of the place too much. The food is actually very tasty with a monthly changing menu, perfect fodder for daytime if you’re meeting friends or shopping, or in the evenings with a loved one. The ambience lends itself well to group settings and more intimate dates. There’s no draught beer available but the wine list is extensive, all the desserts are a mere £3.25 or a cheeseboard for £3.50 each rounds off the meal very nicely. I’d recommend it, it manages to be classy and sophisticated as well as homely and rustic.

Nestled in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial area. This French Bistro in the Cavern quarter really is a must visit for le lovers of le French cuisine, oui oui… As you step inside the exposed brickwork and wooden floor in its rustic glory does make you well and truly feel at bistro francais home… in le middle of Liverpool!!? This Bistro is brought to you by the same people that gave us the other two Bistros in the Pool, Le Franc et Le Jacques. While every individual to their own will prefer whichever one, I think all of them are good in in their own way. Bistro jacques creates that romantic intimacy. While Franc with its prime city centre location is more appealing to the city centre footfall crowd of students, young professionals, shoppers and tourists alike. If however vous ette une lover of le cuisine de francais and le happen to be le passing through le Cavern quarter,. Thank you please, feel le free to pop le in to bask in the relaxing atmosphere that Bistro Pierre offers as a background premise to its French Bistro foodie consumption option.

My girlfriend and I often go here. The deals are astonishing given the quality of the food. £10.95 for a 3 course tea before 6:30 is amazing. £8.95 for a 3 course lunch. The steak here is the best in town without a doubt. Highly recommended

I can’t believe people are calling Pierre’s expensive! At £7.95 for a 3 course lunch it is an absolute bargain. Even the prices in the evening aren’t that expensive. I’m going for a christmas meal there and it’s £20.95 for 3 courses which is quite good value for an evening christmas meal, compared to some places. Plus, the menu isn’t just turkey, christmas pudding, etc. The food is really delicious, the profiteroles are some of the best i’ve ever eaten. It has a lovely atmosphere, you just have to close your eyes and pretend you’re on the left bank in Paris!

Great restaurant with delicious food. Very busy though, so booking is recommended. Can be quite pricey but there are some great mid week deals on offer, a great chance to try the food without paying high prices. Has a nice atmosphere and an authentic French feel.

Incredibly expensive, often hard to get a table, the food is not to everyone’s taste, and you regularly have to compete with the theatre crowd. However, their toilets are spotless, the décor is tasteful, and the waiters are polite, if not especially chatty.

I love this place! But it also seems like a lot of other people do as well because it always seems to be booked up on busy nights. No wonder as it is cheap, cheerful and fast service. I think this is the only restaurant where the food has been eaten before the wine is drank. You have to be careful as you can get very drunk trying to finish off your drinks! Lost one point as it can very busy which can lead to disappointments, but I’m sure that this will only reaffirm how well it is known in the city and loved!

A quaint little restaurant in an easy to get to location. I think the menu is rather limited, but the food is divine. The service is also good, nice, friendly waiting staff and a well stocked bar. We had to wait for a seat but weren’t waiting that long and that was during lunch time, so an exceptionally busy time of day. Would recommend. Reasonably priced too.

If it’s French cuisine that is your thing then I think you’ll love it here. The choice is wonderful and it’s run by French people with a brilliant Head Chef. The service is first class and their cellar runs to some wonderful choice depending on your want or pocket!!! The only down side and hence the lose of stars is access, its up stairs and lacks disabled access. Special nights abound mid week when the service and quality is just as good but a bargan can be had.
