Yum! Nice to have a taste of home in the UK. Big pizzas, quick delivery, and fun toppings options. We got the prosciutto tomato basil, and the chorizo with goats cheese. Both were very good — big fat slices, bold flavors, and fresh ingredients. Great to order delivery for a night in with friends!

Ordered in for delivery. 18′ pizza with 8 huge slices which were customisable so I got to sample a good range of the pizza flavours available. The nicest by far was the BBQ pulled Pork. The pizza base was delicious, and the portion size of good quality pizza was well worth the price, especially with this deal! Although some of the slices could have had more topping, most were bang on! Delivery estimated 50 minutes was only half an hour! Would definitely pick this takeaway again instead of Dominos or Pizza Hut. The pizzas seem so much fresher! I am full to the brim!

By New York or Italian standards, this is not the best pizza in the world. The base is a little too soggy and doughy, it’s also maybe a little thick. But really, it’s pretty good. It’s also very good value. We split a HUGE full pizza which came to around £16 and was enough for 3 people. Also we went for the 8 slice option where you can select any combination of toppings. Nothing pleases me more than being able to eat most of a menu in one sitting. Therefore, this seriously pleased me. Excellent work, American Pizza Slice.

I’ve always loved coming here to eat. Decent prices, friendly staff and more often than not, decent music. Highly recommended.

There are three dilemmas everyone has to face at American Pizza Slice: 1 — Single slice or a gigantic 18″ pizza? 2 — Which toppings to go for? They do everything from mushrooms, sweetcorn, peppers, olives, anchovies, capers and chillies to tuna, pepperoni, parma ham and aubergine. 3 — Savour each inch of sizzling loveliness on your own or wolf down with friends?* *If you go for the latter option, remember to toss a coin for who gets the last slice.

American Pizza slice is situated on Whitechapel, close to the Met Quarter. I had been past here many times and not given it a chance because a– It’s yet another pizza place b– It looks very small and c– It looks expensive But one day work decided to treat us to pizza from here and I was amazed by the quality of the pizza American Pizza Slice provided. The pizza is delicious, right from the base to your custom toppings, which can be absolutely anything you want, in any combination. American Pizza Slice is not the cheapest fast food place in the city centre but it really is a good example of «you get what you pay for». The slightly higher prices are reflected in the sheer perfection of the pizza.

Three words. American. Pizza. Slice. But who wants a slice when you can devour 18 inches of Pizza perfection. Reminds me of the biggest pizza I had ever seen in NY almost impossible to finish between us but sooo worth it!(Nothing better than cold pizza.) I didn’t know they sold ‘em that big here. So APS. I LOVE you! If you’re getting a whole pizza you can get a different topping for each slice no hassle so you can try everything all at once! Spicy beef, meatballs, cajun prawn… but my favourite is the classic Hot American… Pepperoni all the way baby! It does take a while to get through if you’re ordering in but I’ve never been disappointed and if you’re sitting in(well I say in, it’s pretty much a hole in the wall with two tables but if you can snag some outdoor seating, then hats off to you sir, you can gloat at the gaggle of frenzied customers queuing at the counter, mouths watering at your purchase! All topped off with a fizzy glass bottled coca-cola. Can’t beat it.

5 out of 5 from every reveiwer, dare I rock the boat and spoil APS’s 100% record? No chance. Oh no my mistake it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I can’t see why?! I would normally go for a Dominoes’ if I was ordering pizza and save APS for when I was in town but sonce finding out that they deliver that may have to change. It’s probably not the best pizza that I have tried in the city — that accolade must go to Smithdown’s Pizza Parlour — but anywhere that does a good, thin and crispy without the grease is a winner when most kebab/burger/pizza shops offer something of a sloppy mess these days. It’s a bit too cramped to eat at the ‘restaurant’ and the outdoor seating is neither situated in one the city’s most pleasant areas nor does it really catch the sun so unfortunately you have to eat on the move or somewhere nearby but it’s worth it for a slice this good.

This place is genius, it’s the perfect place for really good Pizza to takeout, pizza that doesn’t drip fat and grease and stink the flat out! They have a large selection of pizzas, from plain Margherita to spicy beef, their garlic breads are fantastic and they serve coca cola in glass bottles! This place is brilliant; I only wish this was open as a restaurant rather than a take out. Although there are about 6 seats that you can eat on,(2 inside, 4 outside), I would love it if American Pizza Slice also opened a restaurant, because their food is great. Not only do they serve Coca Cola in glass bottles, but they also serve Snapple! Which is a drink you hardly ever see anywhere in Liverpool. This take’s it up to 5⁄5 in my view, a great taste of authentic American food and drink in the heart of Liverpool!

A taste of New York City right here in Liverpool, American Pizza Slice is amongst my favourite places in the centre to get a bite on the go. Whether you opt for simple margherita or pepperoni or differently delicious aubergine or Cajun prawn you’ll be getting yourself a moveable feast. They also sell ice cold glass bottles of Coca Cola and big doafy servings of Garlic bread. Nice. They sell a few meal deal options including a coke, a slice of pizza and a piece of garlic bread or two slices of pizza for under £3. If you don’t fancy carting your slice around town with you then you can always pull up a tall stool and eat inside the cool exposed-brickwork environsof the shop itself. The staff are always friendly and the service is superfast but be warned — the place gets very busy around lunchtime and you could find them without your favourite variety.

Is ‘American Pizza Slice’ Liverpool’s best pizza place? Well, because I’ve yet to try every Italian themed take away in the Merseyside, it’s difficult to say. But I can tell you that it’s pretty damn good — and I’d definitely go so far as to say it knocks the socks off the Pizza Hut and Domino’s of this world. Not only do you get a lot for your money(you can get two bottles of fizzy pop, two garlic breads with cheese and a MASSIVE11″ pizza for just over £14) but their food is always incredibly tasty and always cooked to absolute perfection. Their American Hot topping is a superb blast of salty meaty goodness, and their Goats Cheese and Roasted Vegetable topping is enough to put a smile on any ardent vegetarian’s face. Oh — and their Meatball topping has to be tasted to be believed. Little balls of well seasoned meat atop a delicious saucy cheese base? Who could ask for anything more? American Pizza Slice do delicious pizza for a delicious price. And if you CAN find a better Italian themed takeaway in Merseyside, then… well…I’ll eat my fetching beret.

I have been to American Pizza Slice once and unfortunately that will be my last time I visit there. Although the outside and inside of the shop offers some seats and looks fabulous and trendy, the pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had. I guess it all depends on your taste and whether you prefer chewy and thin crust with a thin topping which isn’t to my preference. Pizza Hut for me is a lot more value for money and fills you up without having to buy more than what you bargained for. At American Pizza Slice, if you buy a single slice, it’s going to cost you almost £3 for not much at all. They do deliveries but I have heard that the phone lines are constantly busy which is going to eat more out of your pocket money wise! This is an attractive store which is always quite busy and will appeal to more of the younger generation and students but in terms of value, you can get better deals elsewhere.

Good for delivery not sure it rates being Liverpool’s best restaurant. It is only pizza after all! Good choice of toppings though and thankfully a good thin crust rather than some doughy weird thick thing that takes a whole night to digest…

OMG American Pizza Slice ROCKS! Without wanting to sound in the least bit smutty, I never thought I’d come across 18 inches of heaven… ahem. I’m a pizza fan. Who isn’t? I like weird stuff on my pizza though, as you may have discovered after reading my Shiraz review. APS does 18 inch pizzas with every slice a different topping, if you so choose. When ordering with my mate, he will only ever eat margarita pizza, so I end up only have half a pizza with weird stuff on, but still. I’m talking parma ham, rocket, brie, anchovies… all sorts. And those four slices are practically a meal. In fact, I’m sure if you thought about it and chose your toppings carefully, those four slices would count as a balanced meal. My favourite is the meal deal: two garlic breads, two bottles of coke and and 18 incher for around £14. When you consider standard pizza delivery places charge that much for a bog standard pizza, its pretty good. And once you’ve phoned up once to order, they save your number so that next time you call, they already know what you want and where. I’m impressed by that. APS I love you.

Not much to say other than it’s very affordable, very tasty pizza! Makes for a nice lunch, the slices are rather large. Love it.
