St Mary’s is a church in the centre of Lichfield which has been converted to provide a coffee shop, museum, meeting space and gift shop. This is a review for the café which provides a range of drinks, cakes and meals if you’re hungry. For a church building, it has good accessibility and the café area is quite large. I had a pot of tea and a chocolate brownie which was good. However, the conversion has not been sensitive and once inside, it’s difficult to appreciate the building as it’s mostly hidden. However, if you want to see more, a small chapel at the side of the building has been left so you can see it as it would have been prior to the conversion.
