The décor in this place adds to a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic and arrived quickly. Would definitely eat here again.

I’m not of Caribbean decent, only been to Jamaica once. That said, I do a traditional jerk BBQ every year, even so much as having allspice wood flown up for the occasion, making a vat(yes, vat) of Guinness punch and a garbage sized can of Jamaican slaw, plantains, and deep fried bananas dipped in coconut batter, flambeed in dark rum then drizzled with coconut caramel. Damned overachievers. And Turtle Bay is where I got the incentive to carry out this crazy kind of annual feast. Though their food isn’t as powerful in taste(or obnoxious) as you can create experimenting at home, the flavors are subtle enough to cater for every type of diner experience. Great place for get togethers, hen parties, office parties, dates, meeting mates for beers, etc. Although at times a bit slow, staff seem to do the best they can under the circumstances of a packed Friday or Saturday night.

Good food but the portions are a joke. Nothing worse than leaving a restaurant hungry.

I’m mixed race and have grown up on Caribbean food. This place was awesome. A lot of independent Caribbean food shops have the food nailed, but often fail on the atmosphere and service. This place didn’t. Loved the décor, loved the drinks(watermelon crush! Yum). Red stripe on draught! The food was great. Curried goat was awesome. The jerk chicken was also very authentic. Good sized portions(not as big as Caribbean indie shops but still very filling). Loved the presentation with pots and chopping boards. I don’t know why it’s not been rated higher and we are planning on going back on sat. The only negative I could think of(and this is just trying to think of one) would be that you pay twice the amount here than you’d pay at an independent Caribbean food shop. But for the presentation and lack of hassle I think it’s worth it. Great place.
