Called in late last night(25÷9÷2015) after spending 7hrs hanging around in hospital. 3 of us ordered separate meals. 1 chicken korma, 1 Lamb tikka(Main meal) and 1 Lamb balti. All with chips. The Korma was thin and far too sweet. More like a chicken soup. The lamb tikka(main meal, looked like it was just a starter. All that was in the container were a few pieces of lamb, no other food apart from a plastic bag of salad, that actually looked as if it had been bagged up for the rubbish bin. The lamb balti was just a complete mess. The lamb was almost inedible. I could have used the meat to repair the soles of my boots. The portions were extremely small too. The only thing that there was a lot of were the chips, but even they seemed like they had been cooked the previous night… And all this for just short of £20.00. We won’t be going there again anytime soon, and I suggest that people save their money and try another takeaway shop…

Good samosas but WOW this was burn your face off hot. Tons of food which was great. Order side dishes instead of main meals, that’s more than enough food.

What’s the best thing to do when you’ve spent three days in a field, you’re starving hungry, and you’ve nothing in the house? Order a feast. That’s just what I did this evening, and I’m happy to report that risking a new place went rather well. I’m often loath to try new places, not just because I have my favourites, but because spending money on a dud is beyond frustrating. Well — fear not, Tandoori Express is all right by me. The menu is interesting, on Just Eat, and reasonably priced — in line with the other take aways in the area. Being ravenous, I over ordered, and went for butter chicken, saag paneer, onion bahjis and some paneer lamb tikka. The saag paneer was delicious, garlicky, and really lovely. The butter chicken wasn’t as creamy as I’ve had before, but was intricately spiced, which was a pleasant surprise! I’m not usually one for onion bahjis, so can’t really compare, but they were crispy, tasty and not overly greasy. The food arrived on time, which is always a good sign, and the delivery chap was lovely. He informed me that if you order from their website you get a discount over ordering from other sites, and your first order also receives a discount. They also sell bottles of lassi, which is great, as I’m a real fan when eating a curry! As far as first times go, this one was a solid win. With well made food, quality meat, varied flavours, and good service, I can see myself ordering from them again. I even got a few freebies, salad, sauces and chapattis, chucked in. Brilliant!
