Excellent Food & Service bit pricy but worth the extra.

My husband and I ordered tonight and Unfortunately, we were disappointed. It seems to have changed owners as none of the regular owners where there. My husbands been eating at this restaurant since 1997 so it’s really unfortunate that we no longer have a close curry takeaway. The food has really gone south — tastes sweet — like alot of sugar has been added. All we could taste was sugar. It had no other flavor. The Pakoras and Samosas where drowned in grease they were not crisp at all when you bite into them just mushy. The Na’an bread was like shoe leather. It seems to have been reheated as it was warm on the outside but cold on the inside. They normally gave a 10% discount for orders which are picked up — and unfortunately no discount was given — despite it being on their advertising material which was recently dropped through our door again recently — so perhaps the new owners haven’t caught onto this. All in all it was a disappointment and we wont be ordering there again, not the cost of £18 for a cold disgusting takeaway.

‘Shocking Schiaparelli’ comes to mind every time I go past this place, which, being alover of fashion, draws me in! This is obviously no fahion shop though! Spice 4 u is an Indian Cuisine and offers a hearty menu with lots of lush meals to choose from. At the same prices as other takeaways, you may as well try it some time. I’m rather looking forward to the next time we decide to order a take away. I agree with the below post… stick with the Indian food and don’t venture towards Pizzas and Donners!

Don’t be scared off by the cheesy name! Spice 4 U does what it claims, it offers some of the«finest Indian cuisine» in the area right at your door step for reasonable prices. Despite any misconceptions the name and pink coloured menu might create, this isn’t another a dirty Leeds takeaway. Spice 4 U can cook up so seriously good indian munch! The menu lets you combine starters, mains and sides to create a really great meal for a brill night in! If you have a big appetite you can order the full whammy. Starters(I recommend Garlic Mushroom at £2.70) a gorgeous main course(choose from Grilled Tandori’s, Balti’s, Aloo’s, Massala’s as well as many chef specials created by chefs with an obvious passion for their cuisine) plus sides(the garlic nan is gorgeous!) Spices 4 U specializes in cooking a brilliant curry. But stop your order at a curry! The pizza’s aren’t great and the donner meat is dry! Spice 4 U obviously added fast food menu items as an afterthought instead of remaining a specialist Indian takeaway.

Though West Park’s Spice 4 U — no relation to Phones 4 U incase you were wondering — does do the usual fare of kebabs and pizzas, they are more renowned for their authentic Indian takeaway cuisine. The menu is more geared towards providing the sort of food you’d find in an fine Indian restaurant, rather than what you want when you’re hammered and hungry. Me and a mate ordered in the sizzle mix starter followed by a couple of lamb tikka biryanis, and we’re in agreement that it was one of the finest examples of Indian takeaway food we’d experienced in a long while.
