Pizza Express

I like pizza express usually. Everyone loves the dough balls and the variety of pizzas and salads is decent.
They accept taste card for 241 meals so it works out pretty cheap.
Unfortunately my experience at this venue was not great so I won’t be returning but I will still go to the million other ones dotted around the country. On my recent visit the service was very slow, the atmosphere was lacking and there was a hair in one of the meals.
These things happen but why repeat an experience like that when there are so many other nice places to go…

Everyone knows that service at any Pizza Express is a little on the ‘relaxed’ side, and so when we came here for a works lunch we knew to expect a slightly longer lunch break. But we didn’t expect to wait 40 minutes for our desserts. The waitress was friendly but was clearly flustered, and while the food was great, we were thoroughly p*ssed off by the time we got the bill and didn’t leave a tip. And then we had to work til half seven because we’d wasted so much time at lunch. Grrr. Only three stars for you, Clarence Dock Pizza Express!

brilliant when they have 241 deals!

While the service was not great, I was nontheless impressed. We descended on this venue with 17 people and they were able to seat us immediately and without a fuss. They did mess the orders up a bit but with such a large group I suppose it was to be expected.
The food was standard Pizza Express fare and was OK as a result. I may not go out of my way to visit but if in the area I would absolutely choose this place for a meal.

Ate at Pizza Express with family members a few months back. The food was made very well and the quality of the pizza express service was good to. Orders were taken when we came here and food was made in around just 15 minutes really quick service here!
Some of the tables inside did need some cleaning up and staff did clean them up here. The quality of their food they had available here overall was good, but the best part was their fast service here

My girlfriend loves Pizza Express so it involves me taking her to one no matter which town we visit or if a new one opens i dont hear the end of it until we visit!
Needless to say neither of us was left disappointed. A new restaurant situated within the clarence dock complex nicely compliments the ever growing shops and bars within this area.
The menu comes with standard pizza express choices, although using the word standard is perhaps a little harsh. The food was excellent and the service great. I personally couldnt choose what pizza i wanted but the staff were more than accomadating to make my ‘own’ version.
But the thing that sets this Pizza Express apart fromt he rest si the interior. Beautifully decorated as expected by a new restaurant but with a distinct stand out kitchen area in full view of the diners.
Following our meal we then decided to head to the nearby casino for a bit of a flutter.
My verdict: Excellent food and service within a great new location!
