Oulton Cars

I’ve got mixed feelings about Oulton Cars after having used them twice. On the first occasion the driver seemed unsure about exactly how to drive and commented a few times that he wasn’t use to driving such a big vehicle (it was a minibus). He was late and, we had a massive rush to get to our train. To cap it all he charged us more than we expected.
Our second journey was better, the driver was pleasant and obviously knew how to drive. The controller had rung us to confirm our pick up time (although he was still a bit late) and we had mentioned the cost of our previous journey. The controller said she couldn’t understand why we had been charged so much and, when we arrived home, we were pleasantly surprised as the driver charged us the proper fare AND gave us some money back from our previous journey.
So, it may just be the one driver that spoils things for Oulton Cars which is a shame but as long as they are employing such people they are not going to score well on service or honesty.
