Cranberry is technically the closest sandwich shop to my work and and after popping in the other day I’m sure we’re at the start of a beautiful relationship. It does hot and cold sandwiches, soups, bakies, salads and a few pastries, and although the selection isn’t vast they seem to be doing ok at nailing the middle ground between greasy café and excessive deli. For example, their BLT with avocado isn’t cheap at £3.30, but for that you get a large soft baguette that doesn’t skimp on the filling and you definitely don’t feel over-charged. It’s not open at weekends, but then neither is that whole street, and you need a minimum spend to use a card(like a fiver or something) which is annoying in a part of town completely devoid of cash machines. Pretty rapid service for those who just can’t wait to get back to work.
