You’ve just been on a long train journey. You’re tired, hungry and homeward bound. You know it’s a city cab job as soon as you step off the train on to the platform. You’ve just had a seriously long day and night out. A hard day at work and a hard night out, drinking until the wee hours, and you’re ready for your bed. You know it’s a city cab job. I know these moments can’t be exclusive to just me, perhaps they are, but in spite of the extra fare sometimes I just want a taxi and I want it without hassle. Yes, you pay an extra fee. Yes, it feels exhorbitant. But, you’re safe in the knowledge that you can flag one without fear, they’re always stationed at certain spots and you can get on home. I’ve never had a bad driver too, and that’s pretty much that. Expensive, yes. But there when you need and certainly reliable. Job done!
