Buffet Box is tucked behind the Merrion Centre in a little row of shack-style shops. Of all the takeaways in Leeds, this is by far the smallest, about half the size of your average one with a counter and standing space. They serve up fried chicken and burgery things, as you’d expect from a fast food stop. The trouble is, it just doesn’t really appeal. With its big lit up sign, and its clearly visible stacked fried chicken boxes, it really just conjurs up images of a production line, with the poor man behind the counter either toiling over a large vat of oil, or just standing there when business is slow, which from the look of things, that may be a regular occurance.
