I used to really like this pub but I went there last week with friends and the food took over an hour to arrive at our table. Also the waitress we had didn’t even bother to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Very disappointing!

I cannot fault this pub. It is one of my favourite places to go for a nice evening out. It has a modern feel to it, and is very cosy inside. The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is very reasonably priced, and delicious! Highly recommended.

Before you walk into this pub you think it is just another modern style pub but when you actually get in it is a very nice mixture of both modern and traditional styles, the staff are very friendly and have a good selection on there food menu they have a couple of sofas around the pool table and plenty of seating else where although it can be a bit pricey. would highly recomend this pub

Wow this place is great value for money!!! We got two meals for £10, the size of the meal will easily fill a very hungry good eater if you know what I mean =] The staff were polite and friendly and food came quite quickly though I must say the drinks were very expensive, £1.90 for half a coke!!!

There is something about cinema complexes that brings out the worst in food. I’m not sure why, it just does. You’ve probably guessed then that I’m not really a fan of chain tasteless joints or fast food outlets. That’s why it’s nice to actually have a pub near the Vue complex on Kirkstall Road . Don’t get me wrong, when I first went past it I never ventured in. Why would it be any good? However, when trying to kill 30 minutes before meeting my friends I chanced it and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a decent pub, hoorah! Yes, it really is. Nice booze selection, helpful staff and nice inside. A perfect stop off point before a film. In summer, the beer garden claims to sit 50 people and inside you’ll get all your live sport and usual mod con bonus’. The added bonus is the food looks tasty as well and with all the promotions they have on is a real goer on the old purse. Maybe mass entertainment factories such as Kirkstall won’t be the death of good food, real pints and the like. Good form and a cheeky little name too.

From the outside, I expected this pub to be either a soulless Wetherspoons-style copycat or a modern expanse of laminate floors and leather sofas. It was quite a pleasant surprise, then, when I found that the interior had a cosy, homely feel, which was welcoming if a little dated and incongruous with the modern brick exterior. With Evolution nearby I suspect this place gets very busy with students on Fridays and Saturdays — the prominent drinks offers certainly seemed to suggest as much — but when I visited it was quiet and friendly, with the clientele largely families making the most of the cheap(2 for £10) meal deals and close proximity to the multiplex cinema. I ordered a veggie burger which was surprisingly tasty, very filling and great value, while my friends had various pub grub staples, including bangers and mash and pie, all of which came up to same, surprisingly good, standard. The only downsides of Aire of the Dog, in my opinion, are the obviously manufactured nature of the ‘olde worlde’ décor and the lack of anything imaginative behind the bar. Stick a few local ales and some decent ciders in there, and it would be worth the trip across town.

As Cardigan Fields’ resident public house, the pun-heavy Aire of the Dog does a solid job of providing a place to booze within what is basically a family entertainment park. My only experience here was when me and a gang on friends went here because the film we were going to see at the neighbouring cinema was sold out and we had to wait an hour for the next showing. So we ventured in here, not expecting to come, and not expecting such a well rounded pub experience in such a family orientated place. We were served quickly despite it being quite busy inside, and two of my mates decided to fill the hour’s wait by ordering pub grub from the two for £10 offer. I expected their food to be of the poor quality that you often get in these pub meal deals, but when their plates came, the portions were huge, and while the food looked basic, it was gorgeous(I finished my mate’s burger off, wimp). The atmosphere was friendly inside, and we all left feeling rather glad that our film-viewing had been delayed an hour.

I have been many times to Aire of the Dog and I have never been disappointed. It is a traditional style pub based on cardigan fields retail and lesiure park on Kirkstall Rd Leeds only 15 mins from the main train station and accessible by bus. It serves fairly traditional fayre the best thing being that mains are on 2 for £10 including gammon and chips, chicken kiev, lasagne, curry and more. It is a good deal, in fact best enjoyed if you are in an even number of people! The drinks are reasonable and the staff are lovely. A really nice relaxed dinner for a low price what more could you want?

Situated to the rear of Kirkstall Entertainment complex, is the Aire of the Dog. A large, homely pub. Although slightly dated in décor with dark woods, and thick heavy fabrics it is easy to feel at ease and relaxed here. With a variety of drinks available, as well as great pub meals, that are huge in portion. This place is great for a quiet night out or for the start of a big session. The staff are friendly and helpful and do all they can for you.

Classic big pub with great service, great for pint when going to cinema just next door. I go there for the food, basic pub food but big portions with deal of 2 meals for £10! Suitable for families, good menu for children. Amenities near by in complex, good parking, nice cheap food. Quiz nights always good.

this is a good place to go for a meal as they have a wide choice available on the menu with a two for £10 menu on durin the week and the food is very nice. Is in a retail park with cinema and bowling so a night can be made of it for the family or in group of friend or with your partner.
