The Jug and Jester has been boarded up and closed for many months. In the kind of way which would suggest it won’t be coming back.

I used to go to Warwick Uni, and back in my day this place was the best pub in South Leam for a decent ale and pub vibe. Apparently it has been revamped into some poncy wine bar(of which there are too many in Leamington). I find it a great shame. Food used to be good to.

Great atomsphere at the Jug! Feels like a good old fashioned pub but trendy in it’s own qwerky little way. There are several rooms, pool table at the back. There are on some occassions live bands playing and they also have live mic nights which are always a good laugh. Have happy hours(which are great) the choice of cocktails and other drinks are varied. Its a great place to relax with friends and have a good knees up. On the many occassions I have been there, my group have always ended up chatting to another group of people. Everyone is friendly and the whole experience generally a good one!

There’s a really nice feel to the Jug and Jester. It’s down-to-earth. The tables and chairs don’t match, it doesn’t have tasteful décor and lighting, it just feels like a good old-fashioned pub. There’s several rooms so you can find your own niche. It seems like lots of different people go here from all different walks of life, which probably helps give it it’s vibrant atmosphere.
