My husband swears by this store. It has a great range of tools and beautiful cookwear. Also an excellent place to find special gifts. I have never been disappointed.

What a marvellous shop — so much choice and such helpful and knowledgeable staff. From home essentials to gift ideas, this is an excellent local amenity.

A fantastic ironmonger with a deceptively small shop front, like so many places of this type it’s a veritable tardis as it seems to go farther and farther back. It’s a store I’ve turned to on a number of occasions be it to find a replacement fire grate, purchase brushes, shovels or any number of sundry items. As previous reviewers have said the staff are very helpful and friendly, normally with a ready smile and word of advice if needed and unlike many stores in this day and age the number of staff reflects well the number of customers meaning that service is usually quick and efficient. It’s located at the foot of the high street, across from Lidl, where parking is normally plenty if you ignore the ‘customers only’ signs!

I have to say that this place is a hardware shop very much in the mould on the one seen in the Two Ronnies fork handles sketch, but in a good way. It’s one of those shops that’s actually surprising to find, a small local business where the staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable all in the right quantities. This is the place to go locally for all manner of hardware items, fireplaces, tools, mouse traps, axes, scythes and all other weird bits and bobs. They also sell homeware items and ornamental things, the range and the service that this shop provides just can’t be touched by somewhere like B & Q or Homebase.
