Think Jamie’s in a shopping mall. Possibly the best mall food I’ve ever eaten. Fabulous veggie meze for starters followed by a burger for me and swordfish for the Mrs. Kids menu excellent and it was no problem to turn Luke’s Fish and chips into a fish finger sandwich. Reasonable cost and good service.

Went to Bills for lunch yesterday. Really good burgers, and my girlfriend had the fish finger sandwich that also was fantastic apparently. All washed down with some pink lemonade. Very quick and friendly service. Will definitely visit here again. Also you can buy some of the pink lemonade in the store afterwards in a nice collectable bottle(which we did). Very good experience

Oh man, I’ve found my new favourite breakfast spot in Bluewater. I woke up on Sunday with a serious craving for Eggs Benedict. Couldn’t think of anything else. Didn’t want to eat anything else. We were heading to Bluewater for some birthday shopping anyway so we did a quick search of their website. Bill’s came up. We’d always walked past it and stared in but never tried it. Time to change all that. When we arrived, it was just Matt and I and we were shown to a small table in the corner, against a wall so it was half sofa and half chair. We were handed a pretty lengthy menu and left alone to decide. After about 5 minutes, however, I got a text from my mum. She happened to be in Bluewater too and was wondering where we were. We told her, and she came and joined us. As we were sitting at a small table with really only enough seating for two, I wasn’t sure they’d be okay with it but they completely were. Props. She sat on the sofa next to me and then we ordered. I went for the Eggs Benedict of course, and Matt plumped for the Bill’s Breakfast with sausage, two eggs, toast, tomato and mushrooms. Mum had a coffee. We also went for an extra order of blueberry, strawberry and banana pancakes because if you’re familiar with my breakfast reviews, Matt and I seem to have serious problems sticking to just the one breakfast. It’s just all so good! It took about 15 minutes for our food to get to us but when it did… oh, it was SO good. It’s the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Hands down. SOSO good. The eggs were soft and perfectly poached, the ham underneath had a lot of flavour but not so much that it drowned out the yolk, the muffins were fluffy and thick and it even had some pumpkin seeds on the top for extra texture. I’m drooling just thinking about it now. Unbelievable. The reason this place loses a star though, is Matt’s breakfast. For something called Bill’s Breakfast, you’d expect it to represent what they do perfectly. But it just didn’t. The sausages advertised turned out to be what looked like two chipolatas. The toast wasn’t buttered and the mushrooms and tomatos were seperated so one slice of toast had mushrooms and the other had tomatos. The eggs were plopped on top but there wasn’t enough liquid to counter the dry toast and the bacon was most definitely crispy. I love it that way, but Matt definitely doesn’t. It was a disappointment, especially compared to the eggs benedict. But it didn’t take long to get over this when the pancakes arrived. My God, they were back on form with this one. The pancakes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, packed with blueberries and covered with strawberries and bananas. I love pancakes and these were PERFECT. I could have had another portion of them, easily. Amazing. They’re also only a pound more expensive than the Americano my mum ordered, so if you want a good deal, get these… and don’t get the coffee. Wow, that’s some expensive coffee. When we got the bill, the total for a pot of tea, a mint and peach iced tea, an Americano, eggs benedict, Bill’s Breakfast and pancakes only came to £30. Yes, it’s quite expensive when you consider it’s breakfast, but then it’s the most important meal of the day and so so worth it when you go to Bill’s. We’ll be back. Maybe even tomorrow.
