When you think of an English pub, do you think of dark wood panelling and a roaring fire with pints of ale and pies, like the Prancing Pony from Lord of the Rings, or am I the only one because I’m American? I guess I should have known they wouldn’t all be like that, but still, considering how highly recommended this place came, it was a little bit of a letdown.
The atmosphere is pretty bland and generic, like any pub you might find anywhere in England, or the USA for that matter. The bartender was a nice guy, but clearly having a large group in a small town overwhelmed the place, and they were already out of some of their dishes, including my longed-​for pies. That said, they have a few cask ales and the food they did have wasn’t too shabby. My chicken sandwich on a ciabatta was tasty enough and the sausages and mash one of my companions ordered looked pretty solid.
If you happen to be in Huntingdon you could do a lot worse, but don’t expect anything too quaint or amazing.

Recommended by a local, well now I’m a local haha! Ah, awesome feel to the place you have to order at the bar and they have a wide variety of beers to choose from. Food was great, felt like a cracker barrel but more homie for an american comparison. Overall well priced and they close at 9pm! Only way it could be better is if they had a tv at the bar or wifi which is a problem for an american like me without the cell phone service yet haha! Overall great food and great customer service, I will definitely be back sooner than later. Nice relaxing pub.

Love this place and it’s dog friendly. Only suggestion… the lighting was too bright. Otherwise a very nice neighborhood establishment.

Used to go to this pub all the time, it was my favourite pub in town. Now I work there and I am there even more. I still go there on my nights off. Great customer service, classy lay out and really good drinks selection.

This is a very freindly pub. It is nicly decorated. The staff are very pleasant. It is very clean. There is a very nice atmosphere. In the summer they have a couple of benches outside. It is not right in the centre of town but very easy to walk to.

Good atmosphere here, you can choose to sit in or outside, staff are friendly. tables are cleared quickly. Situated at the end of the high street.

This is my local even though its the furthest away from my flat.
The staff are lovely, the regulars un-​intrusive and the drinks very reasonable.
They have a big marquee outside, which is heated in the winter and perfect to go and chill out in.
