A great little place for a light snack and a drink! Formally Graze, they have reopened as ‘Market’, a very different concept from Graze, where you can get tapas style dishes to share(you can also get some mains). Seated up on the bar, you could watch the chefs working away. We opted for some light bites. Absolutely fab! Goats cheese churros with truffle honey — delicious! Never been a fun of octopus, but we had it with paprika and capers and it was to die for! Topped up with some lovely local fizz through the evening. Service was great, Alex & Dean were on top form!

This is actually a review for Market, formally graze but having undergone a refit/brand. Graze was me and my wife’s favourite restaurant before and thankfully in its new format it’s still our fave place to eat in Brighton. It’s kind of a gone a bit 64 degrees with the tapas style plates but the portions are larger. The recommended 4 each, I think we had three and were stuffed. Highlights included scallops(which were so good we ordered 4 plates worth), pigs cheeks, truffle mac & cheese and blue fillet steak. Everything was amazing. As were deserts. They also sell scooners(¾ pint) of a great draft. It went down a storms and is now my new fave draft. Service was perfect. Nice and chatty but not too so, and the cream of the crop was when we had to wait a bit for desert they gave us free beers while we waited(it wasn’t even that long). Only slight moan was that it did start to get very hot in there. Easy on the heating there chaps. ;0) Check it out, u won’t be disappointed! Best meal I’ve had in years

We had a wonderful dinner for 11 people in the beautiful Regency Room a couple of weekends ago for my partner’s 40th birthday. We were looking for somewhere special and boy did we find it! In the weeks leading up to the meal our main contact, Kate, could not be helpful enough. She was very patient talking us through the options to personalise our menu for the night. When the night came, the waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming. They took great care serving us and were clearly knowledgeable about the food and wine. We were treated to entrees and petit fours at the start and end of the meal, which came as nice surprises. The food was delicious and was accompanied by very good wine. We had actually had a bit of a shocking day before since the holiday home in which we were staying had flooded, so to come to Graze and be treated so well made all earlier memories disappear! There was a particularly special moment after the main meal when I proposed to my partner and he said yes! We said later that we couldn’t have wished for a better place to do it. We received very warm greetings from the whole restaurant as we left! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer to try the desserts menu, but I guess that just gives us an excuse to go back again in the future! Many thanks once again to all at Graze. Gareth & Wrox :)

Quite simply, fan-bloody-tastic. Service, food and drink were first class. I’ve been lucky to have eaten in some very nice restaurants ranging from 1* to 3*and this, honestly is up there with some of the best. Unassuming, friendly and most importantlyamazing quality. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Worth the trip to Brighton.

I’ve had my foodie little eye on Graze for some time now, and I finally got to try it out last night for my Brother’s birthday. The interior is plush and apparently influenced by the Brighton Pavilion. It’s quite a small restaurant and the tables can appear quite cramped. For the first half hour, we were the only customers and I could hear the staff chatting away to each other which was a bit uncomfortable, however, the restaurant quickly filled up and was soon buzzing with atmosphere. Graze offer an al la carte or tasting menu. The birthday boy had his eye on the tasting menu and as we had to order for the whole table we didn’t want to disappoint. I also decided to accompany him with the wine pairing — what a kind sister I am! The tasting menu included 7 courses, two of which included an option of two which is a nice touch. Homemade bread in four flavours was offered around repeatedly but I was conscious not to fill up too much! The first course was Jerusalem artichoke soup with smoked hazelnut crème fraîche and hazelnuts crisps. This was paired with a very dry sherry, a little unpalatable on its own, but great in combination with the soup. Second course was a chicken liver parfait with pear and star anise jelly, served with a slice of sweet brioche — rich and delicious. This was served with a sweet Hungarian Tokaji. The others went for a butternut squash option but found it was lacking a little in taste and needed added seasoning. Third up was cauliflower and truffle risotto with chestnuts and Parmesan crisp. Matched with this was a crisp viognier. Next was one of my favourite dishes — beetroot cured salmon, pickled beetroot and beetroot purée, crème fraîche and what tasted like amaretti crumbs. The salmon was so fresh and light and the flavour combinations were exquisite. This was paired with a pinot blanc. For the next course we were offered a choice between halibut and venison. We all went with the venison which was served with polenta, grey chantelles and greens. A very tasty dish served with a light pinot noir. The pre-dessert was a chilled mandarin soup with clove sorbet. Such a fantastic dish I was half way through before I realised I had forgotten to take a picture! This came with a fabulous Pedro Ximenez sherry from the Jerez region of Spain. A much sweeter and nicer sherry than the first, at least for my tastes. The final course was a pear parfait with star anise ice cream and almond crumble, this was served with a sweet dessert wine and was a fine finish to a great meal. The Chef here has Spanish roots and you can certainly feel the Mediterranean influence shining through here. The flavour combinations were great and the presentation was exquisite(somebody has been watching Masterchef!). The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was nice. So close to a five star review, but nothing took my breath away, and a few extras such as amuse bouche would have been appreciated*. *Am I really saying there wasn’t enough food here, I certainly didn’t leave hungry!

Had a company bit of a do here this week, and what a do it was! Fabulous night out with wonderful food. My first experience here, but definitely not my last. If you don’t want the Gold/Silver/Bronze Christmas menus, then I would recommend the Rabbit. Try the Beetrrot Salmon to start. oh dearsoooooooo tasty. You will not be disappointed.

A tapas bar thus beening aptly named Graze. A wide varuty of food which can all sampled in the 7 course taster where the chefs can really show their talents. With a lot of tapas bars popping up all around the place it is a competitive market, but these guys do it well. The food tastes authentic and service is good. Well worth the tip I left them!

Graze is a gorgeously appointed restaurant that gives off an air of superiority and decadence that reminds me a little of a Ramsay and White’s earliest endeavors. Contemporary furniture and stripped flooring compliments Regency features, wallpaper and chandeliers complete a daring but grand colour scheme of violet, white and black. On paper it shouldn’t work, but trust me, it does. Graze is perfect for the indecisive eater(like me) as it offers up small starter portions of the more traditional main. They recommend 4 dishes from the selection of 20, but this is totally down to how hungry — and flush — you are. With most dishes bordering on £6, don’t expect the total to be less than around £45 each with a bottle of decent wine. That said, it is a wonderful experience that budget willing, you should try. Presentation and service were spot on(if perhaps a little tardy). My favourite dish has to be the Seared Rye Bay scallops, with crispy ham and beetroot essence. Light, fresh and full of flavour: delicious.

This is such a brilliant idea for a restaurant, the clue is in the name as they offer a ‘grazing menu’ which is a kind of tapas menu whereby you order 4 or 5 dishes and graze away! They also offer an epic 7 course tasting menu where Graze show off their amazing culinary talent, this is always appropriate to the seasonal veg etc. Its a really different dining experience, so if you a foody then its deffo wort pooping along.

I organized a stag do and found this place by chance. What a result, we all agreed that this place was by far and away the best food we had from a UK restaurant. The wines were all matched with the 7 courses. In the end for 10 people it came out at £80 /head including additional drinks coffee and service. I have eaten in places that charge 3 times the price that don’t even come close to this. A Complete Gem.

Picked a Sunday which was probably not the best day as the menu was generally roast dinners. Having said that though, it was very good but above all the staff were really friendly. I just want to try their tasting menu now.

Tapas — but not Spanish. A 7 course tasting menu that won’t leave you stuffed. The Grazing style means trying out more dishes than usual, and although some are startlingly small(perhaps disconcerting for large appetites) the attention to detail in each course makes it more than worthwhile. Cost-wise, a ‘4-course’ meal here is the same as a 2-course meal in most good restaurants, and the wine list is worth a look too.

This was an interesting one: the food is modern and served in a unique, tapas-like style. Small portions, but many of them, which come when they are ready. The food is delicious, and they have a great selection for all types of diets. It’s not the cheapest, but it is worth it. It’s a unique experience and quite fun. The biggest draw back is that one becomes unsure of how many dishes to order and when and how! It is slightly disorientating, but it’s fun and the food is fantastic.

This restaurant claims to be the city’s only ‘Taster’ restaurant! The customer is encouraged to taste as many of the dishes on th menu as they can! The head chef is Adrian Geddes who is part owner. Private functions can be booked as well. the restaurant is on two floors. The décor is regency glamour.
