On paper I shouldn’t get excited about this kind of shop. For one, I’m female, and secondly I’m too young to remember the joys of model aircraft kits. Perhaps it was James May’s influence with his TV program about the delights of 20th century toys that inspired me to take my nephew to this shop, located on Sackville road, to see what the model world was all about. Stacked to the rafters with a thousand different models of aircraft, I have to say I was remarkably impressed. The very friendly shop assistant(or owner?) gave us a run down of the most historic scaled down planes from a lost era. We plumped for a F-104C Starfighter for a very agreeable £19.50 which has kept him entertained for days. Money well spent in my opinion.
