I love Indian kitchen always my go to curry house. Always quick delivery, when you go to collect it’s an open kitchen so you can see everything there making. Always makes me hungry when I walk past after work smells amazing!

Generally a good takeaway freshly cooked food, 20% off if you collect and myself and partner can easily eat and have food left over for under £20!

My boyfriend and I order from here at least 1 – 2 times a month for a takeaway. The menu is extensive, food is tasty, great portion sizes and great value. We usually spend ~20 pounds(for 2) and always end up having leftovers. Our eyes are too big for our stomachs, obviously, as this happens every time we order. haha Note: They usually offer a 20% discount if you pick up your phone order in person.

I’ve passed their open plan kitchen on Church Road many a time and they always seem busy. Seeing I don’t live too far away, we ordered whilst passing and lo-behold, 20 minutes later they were delivering. Not bad for a Saturday night! They claim; to ‘prepare authentic indian and Bangledeshi dishes which are not only healthy but nutritious too… We cook all our dishes with cholesterol free oil and olive oil…‘etc All main dishes comes with pilau rice and also popadoms which for a main dish costing between £6 and £9 is pretty good! They have an extensive list and ‘types’: We had Lamb ‘Sagwalla’(fresh spinach cooked with medium spices & fresh herbs’. I’ve given them 3 stars simply because the lamb seemed a little chewy and the first chunk I chose had a bit of gristle. Sure, the rest of the lamb was fine but popadums — you could taste they were cooked in old oil. Bad move. But don’t let this put you off. Many Indians in the area have no ratings and a far smaller menu plus Indian Kitchen is busy meaning on the whole you can expect fresh. I’ll be certainly trying them out again.

Indian Kitchen is a great place for a quick bite to eat, and even better if you fancy eating in, as they provide free delivery within a 3 miles radius(but only an extra 50p if you’re beyond that). The menu is pretty extensive with everything from Dhansak to Khorai and all the curries come with rice and papadums so the £5−7 price tag doesn’t seem all that bad. There is also a great selection of chef specials if you’re feeling adventurous, and if you’re particularly daring I’d go for the Mirchwagan Korma; a very hot dish and red dish(thanks to the beetroot and red chillies). Not all Kormas are mild it seems! On occasion delivery has been slow, but generally the service and the people are polite and efficient and the portion size good.

If I was to be born again in another life, I would either be Indian, or a curry, either or. This is one of the most likeable curry houses I’ve been too, the staff and chefs are always pretty friendly. The food is also very good, although nothing more than you’d expect in this end of town. Particularly impressive is the open kitchen that can be seen from the street outside, that always give you a bit more faith in the food you are eating(although it also points out that they use a hell of a lot of Sharwoods products).
