I’ve been drinking in the Hove Park Tavern for many years and have no hesitation in recommending it. It’s a fairly traditional and family run boozer that’s also good to take families too. The sunday roasts are fast becoming famous and the selection of beers is not bad at all. And they play the football. Come on ENGLAND!

This pub is very big and does allow for all types of pub goer to take advantage of it’s layout. There are 3 pool tables which means you will never have to wait too long for that and plenty of space to have a quiet pint in the raised seating area. I like the fact that they have the bus times up so if you want to get into town for cheap you can wait for a bus to be 1 minute away and cross the street which is useful especially when it’s pouring down. It has started to become a bit dated but it still has the old pub charm to it and the punters are a mix which often gives a well balanced atmosphere to it.

You can’t miss the Hove Park Tavern as your driving down Old Shoreham Road — its a beautiful old, tall building but it really needs a lick of paint and the ‘A’ in ‘Park’ being fixed up on the sign. Once inside though, there’s loads of space for big groups, billiards and pool tables everywhere you look and big screen TVs showing all Sky sports football. There’s a regular Elvis impersonator and other live music every Friday and Saturday night and the pub serves good food from 12 – 2.30pm every day.
