I’m updating my review for Ground. I think I was a little harsh last time. I’ve been sampling a lot of the coffee houses in Brighton over the past few months, and I’ve had some excellent coffees, and some really really bad coffees. I’ve been to Ground quite a few times since my last visit and I have to say my flat whites have been spot on, and miles better than some recent coffees I have had without mentioning any names!

Easily my favourite coffee house in Brighton and a bit like a second home. I can’t recommend this place enough. Lovely staff who really know their stuff. A great selection of coffee and loose leaf teas. Perfect to sit and write/work or just watch the world go by. Delicious brownies and crème brioche plus a great selection of ciabattas and fresh fruit smoothies. Go there and see for yourself!

Recently moved to the area and making an effort to review some of the places that we like! Staff at this Ground were terrific, helpful and gave good recommendations about coffees to try. The pastries were good and we were pleased that we could bring the dog in to sit at our feet. Recommended!

Lovely, friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Clean. Great cup of coffee. Yummy snacks. If it had more comfy seating, it would be perfect.

The people at the Ground Coffee House(this is the Hove branch on Church Road near the town Hall, but there is one in Kemptown too) are seriously serious about coffee. And that’s a good thing. I popped by today for an espresso. There’s no such thing as a simple choice and the guy behind the jump took the time to explain the different blends and types. The taste could be more citrus or more chocolate. I loved the attention to detail. Great coffee too, served straight to the table with a glass of water. Free wifi too. Brilliant, relaxed, classy, coffee house.
