Don’t be put off by the star rating! I have played this now 9 hole golf course numerous times, especially when I was just learning to play golf. This type of course is important as people wanting to start find it difficult to play hard courses and are put off by other players being annoyed by slow play. The 9 holes are varied enough to give you different challenges which improves your overall game without causing too much disruption to other players. This course has become less popular in recent times due to better options nearby and the fact that it is only 9 holes. If you want to get friends involved in golf and want a cheap and friendly way to do it, this has to be your best option in the whole of Brighton as good players will still find many holes challenging.

As a turn up and play centre this course, albeit only nine holes, offers an enjoyable golfing experience for the beginner /intermediate level golfer. It’s best avoided in summer weekend daytimes, and during school holiday as it can get busy with bored kids with nothing better to do, however at other times players are generally of a reasonable standard, and allow other to pass if hold-ups do occur. For the one-off golfer this is a relatively inexpensive way into the game. The holes are mainly par 3s and 4s with one long downhill par 5 on the ninth and kept in very good condition for a public course.
