This is a great place to spend an afternoon, although 12.50 is a bit steep in comparison to other zoos and bird sanctuaries I have visited. As long as the extra cash goes towards conservation then I’m content. Worth making sure you attend the feeding shows. You can actually get chance to feed, and even meet, the pengiuns yourself. The otters mew like cats when they are expecting their meal and are really cute until you see that the food they are tearing apart is little yellow chicks(the same could probably be said for cats in general). The highlight though has to be the flying show where the female birdkeepers let some of the birds out and encourage the birds to fly(and in one case) run between them(around the park visitors), by offering some food. There is even a bird that is trained to land on people, remove pound coins and drop it in a charity box. Very entertaining and the girls sure know how to handle a Cockatoo. This show made completely forget(until now) how cute the chipmunks were that we saw elsewhere in the park.
