On the bright side this place is being renovated in 2 weeks. The one member of staff that served me and my partner drinks was nice to. This chain of pubs in general are quite good good priced food nice staff. Had a really bad experience with this one. Ordered food which was a mix grill chicken burger and a child’s sausage and mash. All of which were stone cold when we got them after waiting 40 mins. I wouldn’t of minded but the place was pretty dead. When we got the food for a second time it was still cold overcooked. Had the same food at different harvester pubs was amazing . When we asked for management to complain he offered to cook it for a third time by then we had enough. They didn’t charge us for the adult meals. Only on the way out did we get sorry about that from the manager as he walked passed. Really disappointed will not vist this chain again.

I was not impressed with my only visit to the Foxhunt. We were in a large group, admittedly, but we had over a two hour wait as they don’t take bookings. Understandable if it was a weekend, but it was a Thursday night. The place was packed, and with such a long wait everyone was fighting for a seat in the bar area. When we were eventually seated, we ordered drinks that turned up wrong, but we couldn’t attract the attention of a waitress, she seemingly ignored us because we were a large group. We ordered, and they had sold out of 9 options on the menu, but we were told this as we asked for each of them, instead of being told what they didn’t have before we ordered, so I couldn’t eat anything I particularly liked. The food was okay, but in all honesty I couldn’t wait to leave.

Visited on the 24th. Feb. for my nephews birthday yesterday, the service was speedy, as there was only a skeleton staff on there was a small delay in greeting at the door. Regular waitress Maggie served us and the food was piping hot. Convivial atmosphere of mainly mature clients as it was a Tuesday mid afternoon. Maggie looked after us while the lady with the blonde hair served us particularly quickly and very efficiently. All in all a regular and very good visit,

If you’ve been to a Harvester restaurant before then you probably have a fair idea of what to expect. You get unlimited access to the salad bar, and after that most items on the menu are modular with a choice of meat, some kind of potato or rice, and a sauce. There are a growing number of alternatives on the menu, which is encouraging though. The weekend brunches are good too, although that menu follows a similar modular format(without the salad bar, obviously) the refillable teas and coffees are most welcome. It’s not the best food in the world ever, but it’s a nice enough place to have a meal and drink with relatives. This particular Harvester is often quite busy, which is a good sign, but it does sometimes mean that service can be a little slow. I would emphasise the«sometimes» there though. Also the prices aren’t hugely expensive. It is worth checking their website before you visit as they often have offers on for free desserts, starters or drinks.
