Really excellent for gluten free pizzas. The new style bases are so tasty that I had to check I hadn’t accidentally been given a normal base. Huge variation in toppings. Gluten-​free beer also available. This branch of Pizza Express is especially nice inside and the food is always brought out quickly, so it’s ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

It seems to me this place is a typical jojo restaurant, its either great or disappointing. When it’s good the food is lovely, the service is attentive and atmosphere is romantic. On the bad days the food is sloppy prepared and the cutlery is smudged or even dirty. Got to take off two stars for that.

Definitely one of the best pizza places in Guildford. The food is yummy and decently priced. They keep having these 2 for 1 deals which makes it easier on the pocket. They also have new menus each season which makes it a definite try every time. The desserts are lovely too. Try the gelatos while you’re around there.

A typical pizza express so you know what to expect but still a nice restaurant. It’s at the top of the High Street so if you’re on a night out you end up having to walk quite a way back down to the bars near the station but it’s worth it. Prices are very reasonable, pizzas delicious, and the décor makes you feel like you’re in a much more up market place. Only downsides are that it gets crouded and the tables are very close together. Service can also be a bit too rapid!

Pizza express is a francise and has always been consistent with the taste of the pizzas prepared. This branch is no different. The food is consistently good and worth the lunch time deal they have. The staff are young but seem well trained and are efficent.
This would not be my choice for an evening meal simple because of its location on the high street as it is good for finishing a shopping day in but a bit of a pain to park near by for an evening out.

Used to visit this on frequent occasions for meals out into Guildford. There are however a number of reasons that has all change now.
Firstly this used to be a bank, the shape of the building is nice and the interior is special, light and well-​decorated. There is also an outside area for seating too.
Now enough of the nice stuff! The quantity of Pizza served here is extremely small for what you are paying. I would call them mini pizza’s, you can get far bigger ones in other areas of Guildford.
Service is generally cold and not that friendly. They are very slow with the giving the bill/​taking the bill thing too. Also the place tends to get filled with children. I mean thats ok, but it makes conversation difficult especially in the daytime. I don’t intend to return to this Pizza Express.

Pizza Express is ubiquitous across the country so no surprise there is one in Guildford. Regardless, I always enjoy my visits. The menu has a superb range and the pizzas are well prepared and tasty.
The décor is very smart and airy with a large lounge area. For some reason the lights focus very brightly on the tables — once my pizza was so brightly lit I had to squint to see it! Maybe an exaggeration, but it was odd.
Great pizza, served quickly and well priced. If you want to try something a bit more family style go to De Gennaro’s at the bottom of town or try The Stoke pub for great value and quality. I have been told Bar Centro in Sydenham road does the best pizza in town, but I can’t confirm!
