Tu valoración: 5 Market Harborough, United Kingdom
A nice little preservation line in Lincolnshire, great for a half day out. The station at Ludborough has a signal box which, if you ask nicely, you can up into and they will show you how it all works(they’re great with children too), a well-stocked gift shop, stationery buffet carriage, museum and small engine shed. Parking is in a field across the level crossing, and the whole site is not great for disabled access, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Being one of the smaller railways, you do get to see things you wouldn’t elsewhere, such as inside the signal box, and an up close view when they are stoking the tender whilst stood at the platform, which the kids loved. The ride itself is scenic and not too long, with comfortable carriages, and with a family day ticket costing only £12, who can complain.
