I speak American… that is probably why no one understood me when I kept asking around for a yarn shop. When someone finally figured out I wanted knitting wool(even though I crochet, not knit… important difference), this was the place that was recommended to me. It is a cute little shop, but it is small, a little difficult to maneuver if there are lots of people and/or you have lots of bags from shopping. They do have some items for those of us that crochet(hooks and such), but again it seems as though it is more focused on the knitters. In fact, the ladies in the shop seem to look at me strange when I mention crochet, it could very well be my American accent, but since I have been in a number of times, I think it is the crochet bit that trips them up. They have a nice selection of yarns, although, it seems to be the same stuff all the time. It would be nice to see some featured yarns. One of the ladies has mentioned to me that if they are out of something that I need, i.e. more of a yarn to finish something, they can order it, if it is still available. So that is always helpful. They also have some fabric and ribbons, which is nice. It is a bit pricey, compared to the lady who used to come to market on Saturday with lots of selection for fairly cheap. The ladies are usually very helpful and at least one of them is very friendly and quick to suggest an item.
