This is one of the better bars in Ashton Lane, along with its next door neighbour Brel. Vodka Wodka is a great place to go for some drinks. Fantastic selection of spirits and beers on offer. If you like your cocktails you’ll love it here. There’s often some specials that change every week, usually on the chalk board at the door. They can also make any drink to order(shout out to the guy who made 10 zombies for us at a Christmas party, a true gent!). Great in the sunshine with a nice beer garden too.

Great place to hang out and have a few drinks. The beer garden is awesome. The cocktail list is good and drinks are nice and pretty affordable. Staff is nice and attentive. Overall it’s a good place to hang out and have a good time with friends, I’ll be coming back again soon.

Vodka Wodka is a great place to go for a few drinks. Love the beer garden, good atmosphere, nice drinks. Have always found the staff to be pleasant and they move through the queue/make the drinks quickly so have never had to wait a long time.

This is going to be a very short review this is the most overrated bar in Ashton lane the staff have a bad attitude. Spending more time socializing with their friends than serving. The toilet facilities are disgusting with broken sanitary ware and generally unclean. I left before I was ejected as I was standing on the step at the front door as some of my party had not got in as at 23.00 hours the beer garden closes and the inside was full to capacity and some. A very charming bouncer told me to move as I was obstructing and emergency exit quite laughable really as he was also standing on the step. His words actually were«shift dear you are obstructing a safety exit», as I have previously stated I left never to return.

Cool bar in a great area, but it was so cramped I could not believe it. The service was so slow, it took my friend over 20 minutes to order a drink, there are better bars on the street and I would definitely go elsewhere. The music was good, but it was also so warm and again very small. Whatever you do, don’t order the donkey punch shooter.

We were visiting Glasgow for just a couple nights and luckily we stumbled into Vodka Wodka on our first night while taking a walk down Ashton Lane! The drinks are fantastic: mojitos, french martinis, and other delicious concoctions… we could’ve stayed here all night… but the drinks are a bit on the pricey side so we moved on after just a few. They have a great patio out back that is partially covered and has heaters so you can sit out there even when it’s a bit on the chilly side. Very lively crowd as well on a Saturday night, we were there somewhat early and it wasn’t too crowded. Definitely enjoyed our time at Vodka Wodka!

Nice place to spend sunny afternoon with your friends thanks to a back area where you can enjoy your beer and somehow always find some space. Bar has an impressive selection of vodkas and food isn’t bad either. Nice staff.

After a recent revisit. I’ve decided the music, plus the location, plus the outdoor space. Yeah, this is definitely my favorite spot on the Lane. So 4 stars it is.

Great little bar for a couple of drinks pre-dinner or to start the night off before hitting the town. Apparently can get quite busy although when we were there it was full enough to get a drink without have to fight to the bar. Staff seem friendly and up for a laugh — they were all wearing Werewolf costumes as it was Halloween Night. Not too expensive which may attract the younger crowd. Alright with me!

My favourite boozing haunt in the Westy, Vodka Wodka is a hillllariously named cocktail and vodka bar which is the perfect place to soak up the sun in the beer garden or grab a tasty cocktail in the seating areas indoors. It’s cosy, there isn’t much room, and the toilets are up a stone staircase and teeny weeny. This is one flaw I am prepared to see past though, as many a drunken day and night has been spent in here, quaffing the numerous cocktails on the menu, my favourites including the Jolly Rancher and Amaretto Martini, yum yum! The atmosphere is nice, the clientèle are a good mix of students and suits having a cheeky cocktail after work, and the music is subtle and inoffensive, so it suits everyone. A great pre-drinking pub before moving on somewhere a little louder, and even more perfect for daytime revelry.

I’ll be straight — I love this place — but it’s expensive as hell. Unless things have changed since last year, Vodka Wodka is a very hip vodka lounge on a very hip lane in a very hip part of town — with a very hip price tag. The drinks, however, are fucking fab. I grabbed a Long Island Iced Tea and honestly could not taste the alcohol(yay!), but by the time I was finished, I could totes feel it(double yay!). The bar baristas have some very creative drinks on the menu, and although I have only tasted two, I’m sure they are all fantastic. The ambiance is also perfect, very vintage and old-feeling(then again, so is everything in the UK to an American), dark but not drab, comfortable seating and a cool upstairs bit affording some privacy from the barstaff. A bit expensive to get pissed, but come here for a drink and be on your way.

I’ve never had a bad night in here and I like how everyone is really relaxed and you almost feel like you’re in your own little bubble no matter what’s going on around you. The cocktail list is great and they start from £3 and the champagne cocktails are only £4.50! It’s also worth noting that between Sun — Wed they do a cocktail promotion with selected cocktails a mere £2.50!(Including the Jolly Rancher, which seems to be a hit.) You can also get lunch here and light bites later on which are reasonably priced and delicious. The only thing I don’t like about Vodka Wodka are the ladies toilets, they actually make me feel naseous, you have to walk up really narrow stairs to get to the dingiest toilets ever. Not too much to worry about though as you’re not going to spending the whole night in the toilets anyway. I also like the music here and once liked a song so much I asked the barman what it was, a band called Those Dancing Days and the song was called Hitten, it’s phemomenal!

It’s amazing how things change. When I’d just turned eighteen, I was in Vodka Wodka all the time. Even at busier times when there were bouncers at the door, I’d always get in. Hell I even got in okay after an Offspring gig, with a t-shirt soaked in beer and B.O. A year or two down the line, I suddenly found the bouncers at the door(who now seem to be on every single night) would never let me in. Several times I’ve tried since and nine times out of ten they’ll never let me in, without even an explanation, just«Not tonight», despite being smartly-dressed and completely sober. I kid you not! I find this situation completely ridiculous and bewildering, since I haven’t done anything whatsoever to merit being effectively barred from this place. It’s even more bewildering how a small bar like this even merits having two great brutes guarding the place as if it were a high security prison. In my opinion such over-strict staff at the door ruins Vodka Wodka for me, even if you do get in. Inside though, Vodka Wodka is a nice place. Even during the week it can be quite vibrant and I like the indie music on play, which helps it attract a lot of the younger student crowd as well as the 30 – 40 age group. It is quite pricey like most of Ashton Lane but not the worst. I particularly like Vodka Wodka’s dark, candle-lit environment, particularly on a warm summer evening in the back room behind the bar, where one can also drink out in the beer garden(or is that ‘vodka garden’?). The place is also popular with some of the minor celebrities in the area — I’ve seen ex-Celtic players Derek Whyte and Neil Lennon in here a good few times for example. So there you have it, Vodka Wodka is actually a very nice bar. That’s if you can actually get in.

I feel very qualified to write a review on Vodka Wodka because for two years when I was a student, I worked in a bar across the lane and on every break I would visit with work colleagues for a cheeky mid– shift cocktail. Over the months I made my way through the entire cocktail list and I still visit. VW provides a fun and lively atmosphere when you fancy a fun night. I’ve been unimpressed by the poor choice and quality of food(usually a pot of soup or simple dish available during the day) however you don’t go to VW to eat, you go to drink cocktails. VW is a small bar which can seem cramped at first however to the rear is an observatory extension and out-door seating. It’s often very busy(even on week nights) with student-types so it’s best to be avoided if you fancy a quite drink but perfect for a girly night out. Cocktails are reasonably priced from £3.50, and there are pitchers-a-plenty. Try the Raspberry Lynchberg. Heaven in a glass.

After working for a small ice cream parlour for several weeks, my colleagues and I decided to eventually«break me in» properly with a good ol’ fashioned night of alcoholic beverages. As VW is situated on Ashton lane, squeezed between Brel and Jinty’s, we felt it was close enough to hit straight after work. 12 of us piled into the small bar shortly after 7pm, hiding ourselves in the furthest away corner from the bar as to not disturb too many people(to say my colleagues can be quite loud is a partial understatement). We grabbed the cocktail menu and began searching on our drinks of choice, before eventually deciding on two pitchers of «Emily Emily Emily» — an amazing pink drink, with plenty of alcohol. At the bar, we were offered witty banter, and a mini show by the resident bar flaring supervisor. Well, the girls were sold!!! As a group, we decided that pitchers were the way forward, so we ordered at least one of each of the different pitchers. An extremely smart move. Now, before I go on, I must state here, that as an avid cocktail fan, Vodka Wodka make the most FANTASTIC Kamikazee pitchers. Seriously. I am yet to find a better Kamikazee in Glasgow. Fact. Or a Jolly Rancher(yes, it really does taste like Jolly Ranchers) In fact, no where else in Glasgow offer’s such a cocktail. Anyway, to return to the VW experience. After 10pm, Ashton lane is always relatively busy, however, this was a Sunday night(very daring!) and I was not expecting a raucous evening — how wrong I could have been! Vodka Wodka was packed, but it never took more than 5 minutes to get served at the bar — amazing! The bar staff were cool and collected — to say the least, they know their stuff! PR staff for other venues were few and far between(no awful venues scrounging for the dregs of society here, thank you!). At 11pm the girls and I decided it was time to move upwards and onwards — town. We had one more shot at the bar, whilst being entertained by the bar staff, once again,(he earned himself a mighty tip!). I was almost sad to leave the bar — with lovely people, great music, and amazing drinks, it seemed a waste to leave before closing time. The chat in the taxis was mostly about the bar staff however, it soon turned to our favourite drinks of the evening, and when we were next going back(waaaay!). In summary: Vodka Wodka does well to shake off the competition from the surrounding G1 bars — a lovely, small, student-friendly bar, with great people, music and staff, oh, and not to mention, drinks selection(!). A definite must if you’re in the West End. Well done Vodka Wodka, we’ll be back!

Trendy little bar in the west end on Ashton Lane. Good for all the vodka lovers out there as there is lots of flavours to choose from. Has a nice beer garden out the back that is adajcent to next door Brel. Lovely to enjoy a summer drink in. Very laid back atmosphere.

This small bar on Ashton Lane attracts mostly students and an overall very young crowd. The bar area is very narrow and there’s a room out the back then tables outside where people sit and smoke huddled under umbrellas most of the time or relax and enjoy a drink if it happens to be one of the 2 annual sunny days we get in Scotland. They do lots of cocktails and prices are reasonable. It can take forever to get served though as it does get really busy especially at weekends, and good luck getting a seat!

Vodka Wodka is a fun little bar on Ashton Lane in the West End of Glasgow. Ashton Lane is a lively area popular with students. Vodka Wodka sells a wide range of different and unusual vodkas but also a lot of other beers, wines and spirits. They also have a great cocktail menu. The bar itself is usually pretty busy and it can be impossible to get a seat. There are seats in the bar, then there are tables in the back room, and there’s also a beer garden area outside with picnic tables just in case you’re lucky enough to be there on a sunny day.

Very narrow pub which make it a nightmare when busy! Its very popular because it has a good variety of drinks and is not too expensive. The toilets are really horrible mind you!

If you are paying a visit to Glasgows trendy west end and Ashton Lane make this one of your first stop! A tiny bar, which is always packed, contains more types and flavours of vodka than is imaginable. Amazing cocktails are made here(my favourite contains chocolate milkshake and fudge flavoured vodka yum) and these can be enjoyed in the main bar, the conservatory at the back(it can get a bit cold in there) or if you feel brave and its a nice day out in the beer garden. If you’re not too keen on vodka you can still buy beer and a few other spirits The staff are alway friendly and service is quite fast considering how busy it gets
