The Royal Concert Hall: Cafe Bar

This Encore café is convenient if you are in the area but I would not walk past another option to get here.

Every now and then my Gran likes to make the jaunt into Glasgow and take her granddaughter to lunch, and mostly she chooses the Café Bar at the Royal Concert Hall. It’s not hard to see why– it’s a particularly Granny-​friendly place. The décor is neutral, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. It’s also quite contemporary (my gran is young for her years and not quite ready for the white perm) and conveniently located across from Buchannan St bus station (she does however have a bad leg).
I recommend this place to anyone who fancies a nice bite to eat in the city centre– they do good soup, sandwiches and baked goods.
