Wahey, another African restaurant. I managed to pop in quickly on the way through to somewhere else, and tried out the meat soup. The staff are friendly, the prices are a bit on the high side, and the décor is the original pizza/kebabery place stuff that it inherited, but what the hell. oddly there is hand wash on every table. hmmm. as I’ve learnt a «quick bite» can be anything but, but it can be worth it. the soup arrived and was full of chunks of intestines and other entrail type bits. chewy as hell, but the soupy part was as spicy as I like it, as in effin’ spicy. the chef came out to apologise for making it spicy, not realizing that’s how I prefer it. I’ll be back again to try out other stuff, not as immediately convinced as I was with calabash, but there is interesting stuff afoot here.
