The Bay Horse

Robert & May Miller made us go, as she’s a good ‘turn’. The singer before and after her needed to turn down the amps. as the noise was horrendous. People have the right to be able to talk, in a bar, too so don’t be so big-​headed enough to think we only want to listen to you. Had sore head with the volume. Went early to get a seat only to gave people stand in front of us which is unacceptable. Improvements required to want to return.

Enjoyed May Miller but far too loud. Please note that people like to talk too. The act before and after May should tone it down a bit. It’s a bit egotistical to think the whole of the city centre wants to hear YOU! That spolt it, for us. Went early and got a seat but evryone just stood in front of us. Manager, that should not be allowed!!! I got fed up asking people to move. Very ignorant!

well ive been ther a good few times for the entertainment and, food have notice some bad pinnts but can’t really fault it had a goodtimes would really recomend it GOOD GOOD GOOD «!!!

The Bay Horse is an old man pub, and a karaōke den, I have heard them wail on my way by time after time. Not only this, a drunk friend has whipped me in and forced a spice girls tune out of me, as she desperately wants to sing and just needs someone to hold her hand.
As far as I could tell, the pub was jammed full of sort of 30 – 55 year olds, a stage I am not yet at. However there is an upstairs section that you can dance a bit more in, I am only guessing because I only had a peak in and it looked like a 50^th birthday party at the local community centre. How harsh of me, not that I didn’t like it, we had a pretty fun little half hour in here embarrassing ourselves in front of people we didn’t know.

The Bay Horse is unassuming on week nights but apparently turns into a wild karaōke party at the weekend!
It’s a lovely big pub — looks like it’d be great for functions or band nights — but I get the feeling it isn’t utilised to its full potential. Even though it’s in the centre of town my friend and I were the only two people in this vast pub for at least an hour. The staff were lovely and accomodating but it still felt slightly uncomfortable. Think it was just the wrong night for a lively atmosphere but it was a bit unnvering to drink alone in a pub in the heart of town.
The pub itself is very nicely decorated — it looks like a tavern turned gastropub on the outside, but inside you can tell it’s been decorated fairly recently. The bar area is adorned with fairylights draping down from the high ceiling. There are loads of spring drinks deals — 2 pounds for a single shot of vodka, whisky and various other spirits — and 2 for 1 deals on food during the day. There’s a big stage right in the middle of the pub where the two areas partition off so you can tell on other nights (I’m guessing at weekends) it’s probably heaving.
It was just baffling that, despite all its positives, it was dead tonight. Maybe it’s not marketed correctly. Take That were pumping out the stereo as we sat for an eerily quiet drink which was comical, but it seems like it would be a fun place for a work night out. Perhaps during the week they should consider hosting more gigs or pub quizzes; anything to get the punters in. For such a nice pub it defies logic that there was no one there! But maybe it was just bad timing.

This restaurant service are rubbish, and their service are very poor. When I ordered the food, with my friends, and it have took then 45 minutes to get served on our table!
Even I have noticed some other customers complaining about their service, as they have waited for too long, and gave up and walked out
Even they have given us the wrong amount of bill, which I checked and thought it was bit too much, so they have overcharged, so I have complained and they had apologized, and reduced it, but the price are still wrong.
Their service are shocking and rubbish. I will never go back there ever again!
