Wow. This bus is not for the faint hearted and there is certainly never a dull moment when you take a trip on the good old 66. It starts its’ journey in East Kilbride travelling through the South Side and City Centre before it ends up in Mountblow. Disclaimer: do not be alarmed if you experience any of the following; The resident drunk hurling some Buckfast at you at 9 o’clock in the morning enquiring whether or not your would like a «tan». A novel way to wash down your Cornflakes. The overwhelming urge to be sick because the guy next to you has forgotten to put his Lynx on that morning. Confrontations with the bus driver and passengers who sneakily try to jump on without buying a ticket — your attempt to crawl onto the bus wasn’t fooling anyone pal. Avoid any dubious looking lines, yes you’re right, it probably is urine. Heaven forbid you find yourself on the«66 Night Bus» that runs 24 hours on a Friday and Saturday night. I hope you’ve brought your earplugs as you will usually be expected to sing along to karaōke tunes the whole way home while dodging regurgitated kebab from fellow passengers. Does your neighbour look green? I’d recommend switching seats. That said, this is the 66 and it is an absolute hoot, I can’t think of any other bus routes quite like it, it certainly has the comedy factor… even if you can only bring yourself to laugh about it 2 months after you’ve managed to get all the sick out of your hair.
